Huge light tan head on top of a very clear red amber which is unusually light. I certainly thought it might be a bit darker judging by the tea and malt aroma as well as can. I may be a little sensitive but there is a distinctive can taste so I let it sit for awhile so the smell and hopefully taste would go away. Sure enough, a few minutes later it had disapeared and I could enjoy it; and boy did I. It has a very light hop and malt ale taste but then a very surprising deep tea and scotch finish. It really has a unique sticky feel to it but a very balanced and smooth caramel malt and light floral hop. All around a very clean tasting beer.
I wasn't expecting a whole lot especially since I really didn't care for Ol' Chubb despite all the reviews. This was a big surprise and unusually light considering the ABV. It disappeared so quickly I wish I had another!

A: poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass, red brown colored with a large foamy offwhite head that lingers leaving good lacing, clear
S: heavy on hops, earth, pine, citrus , grapefruit, breast malt sweetness, tangy and mouth watering
T: pine bitterness up front, bitter at first with a lemon quality, sweetens to honey and slight raisin flavors, hint of heavy alcohols and esters
M: medium to full with good carbonation, slight alcohol presence
O: nice balance of bitter mixed with quite sweet maltiness
