G'Knight Imperial Red Ale
Oskar Blues Brewing Company, Colorado
---from can to English pint glass---
Slightly hazy copperish amber, BIG head with good retention, great thick lacing.
Bright citrus zest, floral hops, earthy, pine and resin. Hints of sweetness.
Creamy! Citrus notes with a sweet malt backbone. Woody, bready and, oh yeah, Creamy! Reminds me of candied tropical fruits.
Medium body, medium carbonation. Super smooth and, again, Creamy! Warming alcohol as beer warms. Very well balanced. Very drinkable! Dry finish.
I'm diggin this beer big time! I love Imperial Reds. This is a big beer that deserves big attention. Hoppy when cold, malty when warm. Did I mention 'creamy'?

A: poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass, red brown colored with a large foamy offwhite head that lingers leaving good lacing, clear
S: heavy on hops, earth, pine, citrus , grapefruit, breast malt sweetness, tangy and mouth watering
T: pine bitterness up front, bitter at first with a lemon quality, sweetens to honey and slight raisin flavors, hint of heavy alcohols and esters
M: medium to full with good carbonation, slight alcohol presence
O: nice balance of bitter mixed with quite sweet maltiness
