A double hopped firkin at Al's.
A: Another transparent amber ale, bright and cheery. A small head, less than a finger, comes with the pour.
S: The malts stand out more than they should - overpowering the hops. That thickness drags on the ale, overpowering the hops with a barleywine-like aroma.
T: The hops aren't what I expected, they aren't the thick richness of Deviant Dale's. Here, they play, somewhat disappointingly, second fiddle to the malts. I'd go on but I didn't finish the glass (nevermind the spilled one). The Deviant was much better.
M: I expected a little more than the malt-centric flavors. The hops are barely evident and aren't anywhere near double-hopping status.

A: poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass, red brown colored with a large foamy offwhite head that lingers leaving good lacing, clear
S: heavy on hops, earth, pine, citrus , grapefruit, breast malt sweetness, tangy and mouth watering
T: pine bitterness up front, bitter at first with a lemon quality, sweetens to honey and slight raisin flavors, hint of heavy alcohols and esters
M: medium to full with good carbonation, slight alcohol presence
O: nice balance of bitter mixed with quite sweet maltiness
