Pours a hazy burnt orange. Bubbly head retreats quickly. Color is really pretty.
Smells of floral hops - clean and crisp. Some caramel malts come through, as well.
A little unbalanced in the hop bill - bitters are a bit overwhelming. Sweet malts hide under the powerful hops.
So I got a six pack last week and the first one I drank was a little undercarbonated, so I gave 'em the benefit of the doubt. Second the same. I'm drinking the third right now and it's the same situation - too little carbonation. Without it the beer feels a little flimsy, the hops don't pop moving across the forward tongue. Instead, the beer seems oily and slimy and only has bittering hops to let lay on the back of the tongue.
I hope this was an isolated incident. Seems likely it was.
