Nitro-tap at World of Beer Raleigh
A - black with some red around the edges; huge, soft, brownish cascading head that has fantastic retention
S - roasted malts, burnt sugar, caramel
T - roasted malts, caramel sugar, lactose
M - medium bodied, smooth, creamy, well carbonated
This is a really nice beer. I like the idea that Smidy comes from the Ten Fidy run offs. The original version is good, but this is better. The addition of lactose adds a nice sugary component that really compliments the roasted malts. I enjoyed this beer and the fact that it was nitro made the drinking experience even better.
