Beautiful red color; nose of bread and yeast, with a hint of grassiness; chewy, fizzy mouthfeel; nice flavor with a hint of sweetness on the start and finishes with a hop roundness. My palate was searching for a more robust citrus-hop finish, but all in all, a good, approachable beer. (285 characters)

Sampled at Tap and Handles Colorado Road Trip during Colorado Craft Beer Week in 2013. Please do this beer again.

Presented a crystal clear red color with limited head and retention.

Smell is a noticeable grapefruit aroma but more of the sweet fruity note and not the sour undertones. Good balance in the beer as the nice hoppy undertones come out with citrus and piney notes. Some minor malt undertones with a kiss of crystal malt.

The taste is well balanced. A good up front citrus flavor with a nice blend of grapefruit and piney undertones. Some minor herbal and dank undertones. The grapefruit brings out the good fruity flavors that are a bit more sour than the nose indicates. The malt is a bit hidden but enough to balance. Soft malt and bready flavors. Clean yeast.

The body is moderate with some sweetness from the fruit. Carbonation is off but ok. Overall this is a really nice beer. The grapefruit is balanced well and accentuates the hoppy notes of the base beer. Really excellent beer. (1,003 characters)
