Notes/Commercial Description:
Like all things truly Jersey, 077XX makes the most in balancing through its accentuation of extremes. Inspired by the west coast IPA's we love, we added a thump of hops to a dynamic malt profile and chose a yeast to drive these two further than they wanted to go. Throw our water into this mix and you will find dank green resinous hops popping over orange, mango and papaya aromas, with just enough sweetness of body to make the long finish a pleasure to have around. A double IPA perfect for adding fuel to the fire of a dinner, a game, or an idea, drink it when your night matters.

On-tap at Zeppelin Hall, Jersey City, NJ

A: The beer is clear golden yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a thin yet dense white head that has good retention properties and consistently left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and lots of lacing running down the sides of the glass.
S: There are light to moderately strong aromas of citrus and tropical fruit hops in the nose along with some hints of pine resin.
T: The taste is similar to the smell and has flavors of citrus and tropical fruits along with notes of pine resin. There is a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is rather easy to drink for the style because the alcohol is well hidden from the taste.

Got a keg from the brewery for the house.

Poured from the kegerator, deep opaque golden orange. Prominent white head that holds up well and leaves fantastic lacing throughout.

Nose is dominated by assorted tropical fruits; mango, peach, pineapple, and tangerine come to mind. A bit of piney hop mid-nose. Malty backbone is detectable but not too strong. So far so good.

Taste follows aroma more or less. Definitely getting peach and mango. A bit more pine in the taste than the smell. Again the malt is there to kind of just say hi. Very well balanced IPA.

A bit thin on the palate, but sticky. Aftertaste is piney that lingers nicely. Carbonation is great.

I had this beer for the first time right after I turned 21. I don't remember caring for it. But today this beer is a definite winner. Very good Jersey IPA, I think this is is a runner up to Head High.
