On-tap at Zeppelin Hall, Jersey City, NJ
A: The beer is clear golden yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a thin yet dense white head that has good retention properties and consistently left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and lots of lacing running down the sides of the glass.
S: There are light to moderately strong aromas of citrus and tropical fruit hops in the nose along with some hints of pine resin.
T: The taste is similar to the smell and has flavors of citrus and tropical fruits along with notes of pine resin. There is a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is rather easy to drink for the style because the alcohol is well hidden from the taste.

Appearance - The beer poured a light golden color into the IPA glass, forming a generous white head. Lacing was left as the head receded.
Smell - The citrus comes through in the aroma with a sense of dank following closely behind. The malt profile is detectable.
Taste - The citrus makes the initial impression but their is a peppery profile that follows. Orange, grapefruit and papaya notes are present. The taste grows progressively more bitter as the citrus fades. The malt is difficult to detect, making this lean more toward an American version of the style.
Mouthfeel - The thickness allows the bitterness to linger in the aftertaste. It certainly fits the style.
Overall - The sweetness I expect from the malts in the background is not present. To be a really good DIPA, a beer needs to hit this mark. It is the only real shortcoming in this beer.
