This is a new beer bar that opened up in downtown Champaign. There are several entrances, but none are well marked. Once inside there are two sections. One has an L shaped bar that holds about 20 people. Some darts off to the left, the chalkboard with the tap listings is to the right. The other section has a library of sorts with some low top tables scattered about. The setup is very cavernous, and probably very loud when full. Though relaxing, and enjoyable on the slow afternoon I visited.

The service is very good. I visited on a slow Monday afternoon. The bartender was friendly, knowledgeable, and quick. Can't complain about that.

A smaller selection of about 15 craft beers. Several Founders, Breakfast Stout and Dirty Bastard. One tap for Goose Island that happened to be the Christmas Ale. Anchor OSA as well. Plenty of good stuff on tap, along with an extensive list of bottles. A very nice selection.

Overall a very good beer bar. Another good option in downtown Champaign. The downtown area is becoming quit a beer hub. I was very impressed, and a place I would recommend.

On our last night in Champaign, the wife and I stumbled upon this place while walking around the bars on Neil Street. What a great find!

It is sort of hard to notice it, for there is no clear entrance to it (they are going for a speakeasy-kind of atmosphere), but once inside you will be rewarded with a cool, classy joint. High ceilings, dim lights, a library wall filled with books, plenty of tables, a dart-and-games area, brick walls and of course the bar. Plenty of room to roam and explore here. Also an outdoor patio, one door over from The Blind Pig Brewery's.

16 quality taps, including Stone 15th Anniv. Escondidian, Capitol Brewing Oktoberfest, two Rogue, two Lagunitas, Arrogant Bastard, two Left Hand, Two Brothers, Bells, Lost Coast, Goose Island, Founders (Dirty Bastard) and a cider.

115 bottles, divided by styles but with pretty basic offerings. They do have great daily specials- we scored a $4 bomber of Flossmoor IPA (regular $9). Most taps are $4-$5, very reasonable. Great friendly service, and an owner who is a former New Yorker so we of course had to chat with him about our town. No food (for now).

A great choice in Champaign! Wish I would have found it earlier. After one visit, I can say this is our second favorite bar in town after Radio Maria.
