An India Pale Ale featuring Nelson Sauvin hops. Named after the Sauvignon Blanc grape, is a variety of hop developed and grown in New Zealand. It has a strong fruity flavor and aroma that is described as resembling white wine, or fresh crushed grapes or gooseberries. Some reviewers of this hop perceive the fruitiness as being very tropical with descriptions including passion fruit, tangerines, and grapefruit. These hops are organic and are about 4 times as expensive as our normal American varieties.

Very nice! Elegant Nelson showcase. Very neutral malt bill, seems wheaty and oaty but not overboard, a little sweeter as a double, and a very delicate balance between hop bite and booze burn. Herbal, piney, and a beautiful passionfruity, almost cucumber zing in the best way from the sauvin hops. On the finish, the hops dance and play for days. Nelson’s a place, sauvin is the hop btw! Had this with some pork tacos w/ serrano peach salsa. Banging!

Deep copper in color. Head is you guessed it white and disperses quickly. Nose is soft. Taste is like the can says wine grapes. Not off putting however I don't look for a beer to taste like wine. Glad the followup back taste is more bitter than grape. Decent beer, not World Class in my opinion

Pounder can poured into a nonic.
A- Amber in color, with a creamy white head. Retention is pretty good.
S- Fruity, tropical, citrus, pine, and some alcohol.
T- Pretty sweet, dry citrus pith, some pine. Some tropical notes.
M- Medium body, dry, with a bit of an alcoholic burn finish.
O- Alcohol is a little too apparent in this. Also was expecting some lighter, brighter winey notes from Nelson Sauvin hops.

Drank straight from the can quite a different IPA very sweet and piney but balanced. The body is quite excellent can't believe again how full and balanced the flavor is without any strong ethanol burn or heavy body. Overall one of the best DIPA's I got at the Giant Eagle for just a couple bucks!
