Bottle to tulip
A. Poured black with a minimal head that remains with a significant rim and film that is slightly brownish. Slightly spotty laces. Thin.
S. Major notes of dark roasted malts, lacto, and coffee. Bitter. Minor notes of molasses, dust, and leather.
T. Follows the nose very close with dark roasted malts, lacto, and coffee. Fairly straightforward. The bitterness builds.
M. Kind of thin for a stout. Medium carbonation. Extremely smooth. Medium body.
O. I consider this a thin stout. I'm not sure of ABV but it's well hidden if it's high. Great nose and taste. Very coffee forward and smoothed out with the lacto. A session stout.

Pours mahogany with a thumb of caramel colored head. Good lacing & average head retention
S: Carob, cocoa & coffee
T: Baker's chocolate, coffee & bit of charred grain & woody hops up front, some lactic twang up front. Cocoa notes & charred grain as this warms, a little bit of caramel as well, just a hint of smokeyness as well. Finishes with a bit of mocha, a little dry & nice coffee notes
MF: Medium bodied, firm carbonation, turns creamy as this warms
Easy to drink, an interesting take on the style. Best beer I've had from Kentucky, so far
