The Pig is a local bar here in my town of Saugerties. It's hard to review a bar when you know many of the employees but here's my take:
If you want shots of liquor, this is your place. They're overstocked with liquor. They have 5 beers on tap and some in bottles. Beer is adequately priced but not much for selection. I'd like to see more dark beers on top of the standard bar Guiness (which is never poured properly). Bar tenders vary on mood. Good mood = good service and vice versa.
Food is good, nothing beyond your standard pub selections but still satisfying and quick to be cooked.
Atmosphere is nice though. A usually friendly and talkative crowd. Very hipster for the most part. Best atmosphere of any bar in Saugerties in my opinion. Definitely a place to check out but I imagine the older you are, the less attractive it will be. Crowd age is about 21-30 on average.

Local bar in saugerties, located on partition street. Five beers on tap. Always Spaten Premium, SIerra Nevada Pale, dfh 60 minute, stella artois, and guiness. Bottles include offerings from Ommegang, Brooklyn, Ithaca, and many others. Glass wear is usually appropriate and always clean. Vibe is slightly hippster and local dive. Food is standard pub fare well prepared. My favorite is the steak sandwich with waffle fries. Service is quick but struggles with their beer knowledge. Prices are reasonable. Over all a good place for a pint.
