This is a great place. Looks small from the outside, but you'll see how much awesomeness can be packed into such a space. There are rotating taps for beer to be enjoyed while you shop, or while you hang out. The tap list is always pretty killer. The first area of shelves when you walk in hold all the local fare of bottles, and there is a cooler on your left with a bunch of NC growlers for purchase. Further past the tap/bar, and you get into more shelves carrying American craft and imports. There are a couple other coolers, one mostly cans, and one little fridge with some coffee and energy drinks. The staff there is really laid back, really helpful, and damn cool. This is a really great place to hang out. They do have a beer club that offers first dibs on some limited releases, as well as monthly specials and offers. Also, they have running sales on NC beers when the Hurricanes play, and other cool stuff like that. I stop by here every time I am near Raleigh. Love it here! (986 characters)

These guys do a fantastic job - and the nice thing is their focus is on mixed 12oz bottles at a reasonable price.

Plenty of 22oz bottles available, as well as 6-8 taps which rotate frequently - always interesting and some of the most unique in the triangle area.

Nice patio area to enjoy the current on tap selections.

Staff is friendly and always willing to assist and recommend.

If you're in the triangle area, this is a must stop. (438 characters)

Hunted down this place while visiting my son. Small interior but big on selection. I'd guess if a beer is distributed in NC, it's at Bottle Revolution. Very friendly and helpful staff. About a half dozen quality taps if you bring a growler. Beers are displayed well and NC brews, which can be hard to find, are placed together in their own space. A MUST stop of you live or visit in Raleigh. (391 characters)

My first stop on a Raleigh/Carrboro tour.

Cozy store run by a clearly passionate owner. Nice selection of taps featuring half/full pours - i ticked the raleigh brewing anniversary beer made for the shop and a half of 6 geese a laying. Similar to my gripe with Beer Study, plastic cups are terrible. There has to be a way to remedy that situation :(

Great selection of bottles and some noticeably outstanding prices (Achel and De Dolle stood out as being the lowest I have seen). Some Green Man Snozberry rolled in that morning so that was a nice find.

Strong store - well priced, and knowledgeable (601 characters)

A great bottle shop run by freindly, knowledgable beer lovers. A great selection of local, craft and imports. Interesting selections on tap taht you can enjoy while shopping or take out into the courtyard, You can grab a growler, a six of a rare or common nature, or put together a 4 or 6 pack from a huge selection of singles to experiment, I get the same feeling going here that I got as a kid going to the toy store! (419 characters)

Bottle Revolution is one of the best bottle shops in the RDU area. Ted has a great selection of beers, although it's not overwhelming like some of the others. The atmosphere is great, and after you've been there a few times you get to know everyone. The employees that work there are very friendly and usually can help you choose a beer on tap or on the shelves.

The most important fact is that Bottle Revolution genuinely cares for their customers and seems to always live up to expectation. (494 characters)

Just started visiting the store recently and I now wish it was closer to me so I could make it my go to store. Not the largest selection in the area but it is the "go to" store if you want service and atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable so if you are new to craft beer then this is a place i would check out. This is the best place in raleigh to find the serious beer geeks and talk about beer.

Good beer on tap and with a patio outside, it makes a great place to have a few and hang out. (516 characters)

Love, Love, LOVE this place.

Outside of home and work, I probably spend more time here than any other place. And for good reason.

Key element to their business is that they sell everything in singles. For the beer geek who wants to constantly try new things, this is key, as you don't have to commit to a six pack for new beers you're unsure about.

I think the domestic selection is the best in Raleigh. They have their usual selection of the common good beers, but they also cycle through the new brews quite often. Usually all the new big ones are available in some quantity, and they get several new ones in each week. I've been coming here a year now very regularly, and have yet to run out of new beers.

Drafts are pretty good. There are usually four to six on (depending on the day), and usually pretty good quality. When they run special events, the draft quality goes off the charts. They get some fantastic kegs in.

Service is amazing. Ted, Jen, & Robin are all super friendly and extremely helpful. They also really know their beer. There are precious few people I'll ask for recommendations, but these three definitely make the list. I've yet to be disappointed with their advice. (1,196 characters)

Love this place. If you are in the area you have to drop by. Between Ted, Jen and Robin you will get good advice and friendly service. The beer club is a great value and good way to get inside info and limited beers plus a good monthly selection. The tap selection is great and they rotate fresh beers out regularly. Trust me, you will enjoy your visit and probably meet a fellow beer geek in the process. (405 characters)

I finally made it over to Bottle Revolution and I'm sorry I waited so long. It's not close for me but I pass by that way on occasion. They have a solid selection that's well organized and displayed nicely. I was very impressed but they could use a few more Belgians. The woman in the shop was helpful and knowledgable. And the shop is in a great retail complex with some good dining options. I wish Bottle Revolution was closer but I'll make it a point to get by on a regular basis. (482 characters)

Do yourself a favor if you're in Raleigh and check this place out. Great selection, great service from owner Ted, and an all around great atmosphere with a nice patio out back. Also, check out their schedule of events online for different brewers who visit on certain nights for tastings. (288 characters)

Bottle Rev is awesome and a wonderful addition to the Raleigh bottle shop scene. Ted brings a lot of passion and knowledge and a willingness to share.

He always has great things on tap. In addition, you can always find something new on tap to try which may be a bit outside of your comfort zone. In this way, he continues to encourage customers to build their beer palate and give new things a try.

The outside area and seating make for a perfect place to meet up with friends after work. The atmosphere encourages great conversation with those you have never met and it never fails when I visit here i learn somthing new about BEER!

The membership program is well thought out and again provides the perfect avenue to drink new delicious beers each month (as well as the 'holdsies' perk for those hard to get your hands on beers!)

If you live in the area and haven't given this place a try, you are missing out on good beer and good people! (945 characters)

This is a very nice addition to west Raleigh, and the triangle beer scene in general. The owner Ted pack a lot of beers into the relatively small space he's working with, and they get the vast majority of special releases that come to the triangle. Every beer they sell is available as a single which is really nice for mixed six packs, however the beers are priced individually as well so you end up paying a bit more if you just wanted a six pack of one beer. The service has always been prompt and friendly, and they have nice beers on tap for a fair price. The selection is very good, but not as plentiful as Tasty Beverage Co, however Tasty Beverage Co's singles selection is pretty limited by comparison. I will say that this store is quite popular, so limited release stuff sells out VERY quickly which kind of sucks but there's nothing to be done about it. Overall a terrific store that has become my go to spot for beer in west Raleigh. (945 characters)

TED RULES!

Bottle Revolution has become an integral part of the Raleigh beer scene. I am somewhat of a newbie to craft beer, and through Bottle Revolution I've been able to explore new beers and try new things I never would have tried otherwise. Ted and staff are great with recommendations and are just awesome people to chill with. The store recently added taps which I'm pretty excited about.

I don't know what I'd do without it! If you are visiting the triangle area, Bottle Rev is a must stop. (502 characters)

Is this the perfect beer store? It could be. For me, to be top tier, the place needs to have some beer on tap for sampling while shopping. Bottle Rev has 4 taps which more than fits the bill. The only nit I can pick is minor. I think the layout is a bit confusing as to where to find what. The service makes up for it though. The staff is quite friendly and helpful. The only local place that rates a 5.0 in selection is Sam's Blue Light in Durham. BR doesn't have as much floor space as Sam's, but it's darn close. If I lived in Raleigh and needed a hard to find craft beer, I'd check BR before driving to Sam's. I bet 9 times out of 10, BR would have it. Pricewise, they're inline with what I pay elsewhere. I live in Carrboro and shop at Carrboro Bev and TJs regularly. They're both very good. BR is among the best beer stores I've been in. They have more selection than Bruisin' Ales, Brawley's or Carrboro Beverage. The atmosphere is better than Sam's, TJ's Beverage or BestWay. BestWay and Sam's have a lot more cold beer and better selection than BR. (1,057 characters)

Bottle Revolution is a pretty new beer only store that opened on Lake Boone Trail in Raleigh. It is just down the street from Rex Hospital in a nice little shopping area. You can see it off the street.

I had been meaning to check it out since opening and was finally "forced" down there when I won a T-shirt from them on a facebook contest (kudos and bonus points for that!).

The store is well stocked with a lot of variety. I was told that I can ONLY buy individual beers/mixed 6. Which was a shame cause I was going to get some cases of Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale. Later on FB someone said you CAN buy by the case. So I am not even sure which is true unfortunately.

I did get a mix 6 - the prices were "okay". I wouldn't call it cheap though it certainly wasn't expensive. You just always have to pay a premium when buying single bottles. So if you are okay with that and want to try a bunch of different beers, this is the place for you.

Me personally; i'll still be doing most of my purchasing by the case for a little lower prices. (1,043 characters)

The atmosphere was actually kind of cool. Everything is on plywood shelves and stacked around the place. The setup is actually really thought out and makes sense to me. They get everything rare and sought after from the US. Decent amounts of Mikkeller, Founders, and Oskar Blues. I will say that things move very quickly here. Im not sure if its because of shipment size or popularity, but the big guns dont sit around.

The Belgian section was very solid, but nothing out of the order. I wouldnt go here for foreign jobs, but American bottles and locals are loaded here. Actually in competition with Sams.

They just installed taps yesterday, and had 4 solid taps on. Mokah and Sculpin were on.

Ted, the owner, is a great guy and good friend to have. (753 characters)

Bottle Revolution is a welcomed addition to the triangle beer scene. Ted is a great guy who is passionate about craft beer.

The store is very comfortable with wooden shelving and a very nice selection of great beer - no garbage at all.

The service is what differentiates Bottle Revolution. BR provides a personal service with great recommendations in a relaxed atmosphere. The Club selections are always very tasty and the communication regarding new selections via email and Facebook is spot-on.

Tastings every week, special event, friendly atmosphere. No upcharge on singles bottles, coolers-to-go for tailgating. Once Ted gets the allocations of the bigger, more established stores, my rating would be damn near 100. So make sure to buy the regular Founders and Bells offerings from BOTTLE REVOLUTION. (810 characters)

A nice fairly spacious store with a large selection of both domestic crafts and imports alike. Decided to stop by and see what goodies I could pick up that I can't get in South Carolina. Nice selection of local/in state brews. Helpful staff. I am a bit spoiled by the Beer Exchange down here but this store has plenty to keep beer geeks happy.

I noticed they have discounts for tailgating when the hurricanes have a home game, a beer club, and some shop gear. Overall prices where great, selection was definitely solid, service good, nice store/layout. plenty of room to add more beer :) (588 characters)

Located on LB Trail across from Rex and practically next to the day surgery center.

Large wooden shelves go all the way around the medium sized shop. Ted has done several organizational things that I like very much. On either side of the entrance, there are shelves featuring NC beers (on the left) and seasonals (on the right) as you come in. He has a small cooler section with all the can beers he carries, and if you call ahead he can put together a take out cooler with beer to go, in case you are headed to an event at the RBC center or CF stadium. A nice perk.

Carries a good selection of NC beers, large selection of micros, and covers imports pretty well. The store has a nice feel and vibe to it.

Well worth a stop if you are passing through. (756 characters)

Fantastic craft beer selection with an owner that is very personable and can recommend new and different beers based on the customer's preferences. It is a great pace to visit if you are feeling like adopting a new favorite beer, or even if you just have extra time to burn in a cool store with a comfortable, unpretentious atmosphere.

What separates this store from other places that allow the customer the option to make-your-own 6-pack, like Total Wine, is that they do not mark up their individual bottles. In other words, each individual bottle's price is 1/6 of the price of that bottle's 6-pack (if the beer in question is sold by the 6-pack).

Respect. (662 characters)

One of the "Best Bottle Shops" in Raleigh.  Huge selection of beers and you can also buy singles to make your own "mix & match" six-packs!

Ted Gross, Owner, is a great guy....someone you would be honored to call a friend!

You can bet that if he doesn't have it on his shelves he will do anything/everything within his powers to get it for you if it's available in North Carolina.

Nice selection of accessories:  glasses, t-shirts and "one-of-a-kind" bottle openers. (470 characters)

Very nice location for a bottle shop of this caliber. Plenty of parking and a nice sign to find easily.
Walk in and you can see right away that this is one heck of a bottle shop. A few coolers on the immediate left w/ bombers and local growlers. Aviator had at least different choices, their IPA and Tripel.
Prices were not marked on everything, but the owner was there and quick w/ pricing, knowledgeable and willing to offer up his honest opinion on beers I was not familiar with, which I appreciate.
Plenty of Imports as you head further into the store, with a full cooler of just canned offerings....something that makes perfect sense, but you don't see often in craft beer stores.
More rows of domestic bombers and 750ml's to the far left and some cases on the floor. Nothing collecting dust in this place. Looked to me like the perfect amount of inventory.
Pricing was very reasonable and all of the NC beers were 10% off for Black Friday. I grabbed two sixers and 5 bombers and spent $47 and change. Very pleased.
Small collection of glassware as you walked in to.
I will be back to this place every time I visit for sure....a well kept gem. (1,148 characters)

Wonderful, independently owned beer store in Raleigh. It's great to have an option outside of your usual "big box" chain stores. The owner is very knowledgable and enthusiastic about craft beer, and always eager to discuss new brews and beer news. Great selection of NC beers in bottles and growlers, typically has all the new and rare releases available in our area. Weekly tastings involving a multitude of brewers, from all over the US. They use social media really well, constantly updating Facebook with pics of new releases. This has driven me into to store on more than one occasion. In my opinion, the best part of the store is their "Year of Beers" club. For a yearly fee, you get a monthly selection of hard to find, rare or limited release beers. Also, you will receive chances to enter a lottery system for extremely limited beers. I just wish it wasn't on my home for work, makes it too easy to stop. (913 characters)
