Purchased from the Oak Barrel in Sydney, Australia
Surprisingly tasty beer although should be marketed in the Belgian IPA realm.
Nose: dat grapefruit (7/7), bit of oxidised light Belgian but generally hoppy.
Taste: Dat grapefruit, more grapefruitty than the grapefruittiest of Belgian IPAs or the most oxidised of American IPAs. Just generally grapefruitty.
Grapefruit personnified in the mouthfeel, have you tried a grapefruit before? Cause that's what this is.
Overall: Somehow inadvertently captures the daily life of a grapefruit from a Belgian perspective.
Good though. I don't really like Belgians much on their own.

From can, pours a light hazey golden with a large white fluffy head that disapates to a thin layer. Aroma citrus, spices. Taste grapefruit, spices, citrus. Not to bad.

Rich and flavorful with a lot of malt. Distinct Saison taste with the classic fruit and yeast. Attractive golden yellow in the glass with a big pile of suds. Fizzy and mouth filling. Pleasing sweet touch. Even a whiff of the old sweaty horse, but a clean polo pony. A little scratchy at the finish. An enthusiastic brew that is yet another highly drinkable entry from Golden Road. From the pack of 12 oz cans-- yes, another Saison in cans!

Pours super clear with 1 finger of fizzy head.
Aroma is primarily dominated by the grapefruit juice, rind, and pith. Smells more like a pale ale than a saison. Some generic citrus present as well. Very mild in regards to any spice or yeast characteristics.
Very refreshing beer. It's like a pale ale mashed up with a sessionable saison. Dominating taste is the grapefruit. Nice amount of crisp citrus. Light and bubbly mouthfeel. Slightly watery in the middle of the sip, but at an abv around 5 percent, it has a great amount of flavor. Little bit of spice and yeast flavor at the end, but mainly overshadowed by the bitter grapefruit.
Overall, not a bad beer. Nothing extraordinary, but a fun new session beer. I see it pairing well with a crab and avocado salad with a citrus vinaigrette. It gets a 75.5/100.

Pours a finger and half of head on a clear golden body.
The aroma is airy grapefruit and candy.
The taste is tart grapefruit right at the start with a mellower middle and a mild sweet finish.
The texture is crisp.
It's enjoyable.

Not the best saison in the world. Not the worst. A bit hoppy for my flavor (I am not a fan of hoppy saisons) with a rough malt aftertaste. There is supposed to be a bit of grapefruit in here, but it's hard to find it. It's overpowered by the hops. They say here this beer is retired, but I still see it around the LA area seasonally.
