Appearance: Has a nice brown and copper hue. Leaves a bit of lacing .. a one finger tan head that dissipates.

Smell: It has a very roasted/smokey, caramel, nutty and chocolatey aroma.

Taste: Has an upfront dark toasty flavor to it with a taste of hazelnut, caramel and finishing up with the chocolate.

Mouthfeel: Quite thick actually but very smooth when it goes down. It's a bit like a molasses texture to it.

Overall: Probably one of the best I've had so far apart from the only ones I've tried which were Nutty Brewnette and Newcastle's Brown Ale. This one is really great I'm usually accustomed to the taste of stouts. The texture is almost stout like .. this beer is not watery at all. Its leaves a nice coating in the mouth. Very sweet and full of flavor. I recommend others to try this out but I reiterate I haven't had that many brown ales but this is a good one.

Pours out of a 16oz can into a pint glass, the beer pours a nice brown/nutmeg color with a some extremely fluffy off white foam that quickly dissipates. The smell is a nutty and malty but the aroma end there and the taste is a bit more flavorful with flavors of nuts, toffee, dark bread, thick malts, and a slight coffee/toffee finish. Overall this is a good brown ale and I am glad it is something I got to try on my LA adventure.

A- pours a clear born with some ruby hue, two-finger off ww
Bite foamy head that retains decently, eventually reducing to a small layer on top

S- slightly nutty with some caramel malt aroma, fruity esters, a hint of chocolate, subdued for the most part

T- roasted smoky malt brings out some caramel and chocolate flavors, slightly smoky and woodsy, finishes dry with a char-like bitterness

M- medium body with prickly medium carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel and finish

O- nice nutty notes mixed with some caramel and chocolaty malt flavors

felt like some brown ales today so I grabbed this one of a few, even though I swore I wouldn't drink anymore of their stuff.
nice looking color of brown, actually, a beautiful nutmeg-red color.
foamy head of little subsistence, larger bubbles, and settles quite quickly. smell is total adjunct. corona aroma, corn. some minor nutty aroma and a little bit of malt.
same for the taste. bland with a slight aftertaste and bitterness. some chalkiness on the tongue. an okay brew if you're sitting at their brewery and drinking but certainly nothing special. much, much better browns out there. cool can.
as unbiased as I can be, but it's not a great tasting brew. the color is beautiful, but the taste is bland and gritty.
my only opinion of Golden Road, aside from the three or so brews I've now tried, is that I thought they were a huge bully by threatening the Golden Rod Brewery in Nebraska as trying to spin off from them and confuse Golden Road's consumers. close in spelling, maybe, but a rod is WAY different than a road and if either cannot make their consumers aware of the difference than they are uncreative idiots and, frankly, I think I've seen it in Golden Road's three beers so far. but whatever. I mean, they're in NEBRASKA, for pete's sake! chickensh*t, if you ask me. and is the reason why everyone is coming up with such retarded and long names for their brews these days. take a note from a REAL CLASS ACT like RUSSIAN RIVER and AVERY. they both had the same named brew and they laughed it off and made a COLLABORATION BREW to make Golden Road look like bullies. i'm done.
