June 24th, 2015 - I'm not in LA, but whatever the eco-project behind the naming of this can, I am sure it is a good cause (though it is unclear if profits from this beer go towards that same cause.) Coming from a can, it pours a chipper canary yellow, and billows with a nice foam that just ekes over the top of my glass. While light in color, the aroma is dank and just a little weedy. It's got that tell-tale marijuana note, but also a little fruitiness in preview. The flavor is also lovely with a lighter body but a whole heap of booze and pineapple throughout. It's also quite sweet, with a lemon zest that pairs very nicely against the booze. I've been down on Golden Road lately, but this IPA is encouraging.

Look: hazy yellow, decent white head
Smell: bright herbal and citrus aromas, mellow lemon zest
Taste and mouthfeel: peppery bright dry hopped smallish IPA. Mouth is medium bodied with a dry finish.
This is a bright, lighter IPA (big and resinous to the new comers) and one I would buy again for a grill or fishing session.

Trying the Golden Road Heal the Bay at Yards in Long Beach. It poured a clear yellow with white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent is floral with hints of pine and citrus. The taste is also floral with touches of mint and citrus peel. The Mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall this is a decent beer and certainly worth a try.
