Pours dark brown with a beige 2 finger head leaving a touch of retention and good chunky lacing.
Heavy roasted nut profile in the aroma. Roasted malts balanced with nuttiness and a little earthy bitterness. Not necessarily peanut butter rich, just the generic nuttiness that is sometimes present in porters.
Similar flavor. The deep amount of roasted malts plays well with the nuttiness to create a roasted nut aroma. Again more generic nut than peanut butter flavor, but still tasty.
As with all the brews I've had there, mouthfeel is spot on. Creamy and on the fuller side of medium body-wise.
Solid porter. Flavors and mouthfeel play well. I left a bit disappointed that it wasn't more like peanut butter specifically, but just a good porter period.
