Their website states that this is a Belgian IPA made with Japanese Sorachi Ace hops, estery and floral with a light lemon finish. Got a mini-growler of this in a recent trade.
Appearance - The beer was an unusually dark copper color with a few big white bubbles on the top.
Smell - The aroma was would be best described as spicy with a certain sense of Earthiness.
Taste - The piney notes are most obvious at the front. However, the malts and spices begin to emerge. There are light resin notes in the back, which are given a certain twang by the Belgian yeast. In the aftertaste, one might notice orange rind and mild pine/resin.
Mouthfeel - The beer has a the thickness of a double which allows it to linger nicely.
Overall - I would certainly drink this again. It is one of the more interesting IPAs I have had in quite a while.
