Visited on a Sunday at noon, which is when they open. The place is kind of small but clean and well lit. No overly loud music and no TV. I had a $6 pint of their Oktoberfest, which was a good beer but not traditional. Also, had a ham and cheese panini which was very good along with house chips. Good and attentive service. When nearly finished with my sandwich, I asked about a glass to purchase and to go packaged beer. My waitress bought both to the table a handled everything on one bill. They had many of their beers on tap with a board listing ABV and IBU. There were some guest beers, wines and ciders for sale as well. The food menu is more limited but seems to be made fresh with fresh ingredients. Overall, I enjoyed my time there and will stop again.

Place was nice visited on a Saturday after noon. Place was busy the entire time, not stuffed, but people at each table and at the bar. Conversation was easy, music playing but not too loud. No tvs that I noticed. Quality of the beers was excellent. Didn't love the tall pint glasses for all of the IPAs. But, beers were all very good and the glasses were clean. Service was great. Checked on us regularly. Knew what was going on with the menu, beer list, wine list. Selection of the beers was great. A nice list of tap room only beers. Selecting a beer was super easy. Their board of beers had the beers separated into categories making a choice really easy. Food was good though we only got 1 item. Overall- I loved my time there. I want to go back soon. I would love to have this closer so I could drink their beers from the source more often.

Nice little nook to duck-into. Always something new and innovative on tap. Sandwiches are pretty stellar too.

Great atmosphere and wide selection of house and guest beer. Food selection is limited, however is all fantastic and there's something for everyone. I keep telling myself I am trying to work through all the beers, however regularly end up with Saucy Intruder, Beard Tax, The Quickening, Hipster Bird, or Architect's Breakfast. The place isn't very big (they are supposed to eventually expand) so make sure you get there early to get a table!

The king of Indy beer, in my opinion. A great taproom. They had to have half a dozen beers on that I was sad I didn't get to try. The ones I did were all really solid. Parking is tricky but it's worth the slightly outside of downtown drive.

This place is simply amazing. It is located on a great street with a cool vibe. The atmosphere is exactly what a brewery should be. It was a relaxing place to be, but there was also a cool edge to the place. Il the server was one of the best I've had. He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate. Each person at this brewery had a passion for beer, service, and people. I met two of the owners. They were very nice. The beer was exactly what I needed it to be. Unfortunately we went there about an hour or two before close and I only had two beers. I did get to sample a few others. Everything I tried was great. I'm a big fan of rye beers. Who makes a rye ipa their flagship beer? Black Acre does and it was great. Also, the food was really good. Can't say enough good things about this place.

One of my two favorite breweries in Indy (along with Deviate). Really pleasing environment to enjoy some beers, no televisions or overly loud music to distract from conversations. Black Acre attracts both neighborhood folks stopping in on their way home from work, and hop heads from around the city. There's an outdoor patio area in front, a bar seating maybe 10 people, and a number of tables. I'm anxious to see what the interior might look like if they embark on the expansion into the adjoining tenant's space they've been talking about.

The quality and selection of the beers is excellent. What I really love is the variety of beers on tap. On any given day you might find a rum barrel-aged braggot, a gin barrel-aged pale lager, or any one of countless variations on their 15-20 semi-regular offerings (love their coffee ipas). Black Acre also has a number of guest taps including at least one dedicated to Central State Brewing's great brett beers. Non-beer fans may enjoy some of the ciders and meads on tap as well. Beer prices are excellent compared to some other local breweries. All pours are $5, 16 oz for most beers, 8 oz for high ABV beers.

I've always found the service to be excellent. On one of my first visits Jordan, the tap room manager/co-owner, sent over a fresh beer after he noticed my beer turned out to be the last pour from the keg and he said he wanted me to enjoy a fresh one. (I had almost already finished and enjoyed my beer, not noticing any issues). Nearly all of the bartenders and servers I've encountered have been friendly.

I've only ever had the fries at Black Acre and they were just ok. I would probably eat there more often if one of my favorite local pizza places wasn't right next door.

This is a really nice looking spot that, visually, looks like they have done everything right. The right combination of edge with a classy style. Quality of beers is superb. There really isn't much more to want for. Service was okay. It was good enough, but there seemed to be little interest in what they were doing; kind of a disconnect. And certainly no positive energy. Selection was extensive. Lots of stuff to try and pretty much any type of beer you may want. A really nice spot doing some seriously superb beers. (I actually went twice!)

Cool without being pretentious, great selection of beers both guest and personally brewed. Their house beers are uniformly delicious.

my favorite brewery spot in indy. shared a flight & a couple of pints during sunday morning brunch. seating consists of small u-shapped bar, inside tables (20 or so), and outside patio. space has industrial, recycled materials vibe. well thought out. beers were the best we had in indy. service was very good.

I really like this place. No TVs, no tunes. Great service. At least while I was there the place ,including much of the conversation seemed to be about the beer. And the beer was great, across styles . The Octoberfest a bit heavy, sweet, sticky for the style but great malt flavor, very drinkable.

Carvers Army, peanut butter porter, the nut smell is pronounced, the peanuts show less in the taste, also excellent.

The best beer I had was The Quickening a thick black scotch ale. One minor nit, they should serve this a bit warmer than the others.
