LeRoux in Old Port is a great store overall. In terms of beer they have a small but astonishing selection. This place is like a sleeper cell for good beers. People don't typically come here to buy beer, but they have some great ones on hand, so you can often get premium beers that are sold out around the rest of town.
The other day I purchased two Barrel-aged Old Rasputins here. The rest of town was sold out of those in days (or less).
Their local selection is also very good and tourists can find pretty much any Maine beer they might want to try.
Price is a bit above average.

Mostly known as a high end retailer of kitchen gadgetry, LeRoux Kitchen boasts a fantastic Maine-centric beer selection. Upon entry, veering to the left will put you near a few large shelves and a faux "cellar" room which boats a well designed and well priced selection of Maine beers. Brands sold include Allagash, Maine Beer Company, Bar Harbor Brewing and Rising Tide to name a few. Bottles were priced nearly $1 lower than other, more well known convenience and beer stores. As a plus, a few of the staff members were genuinely knowledgeable or enthusiastic about the product. The only knock is the overall selection is limited, as the focus is purely on local/regional.
