I know, I know. Locals love this beer but I cant handle it. It's way too hoppy. Talk about bitter beer face. It's similar to extremely spicy food. It's so bitter, you can't taste any of the underlying flavors or really enjoy it. My mouth felt like someone had washed it out with soap. You hop-heads will love it. Drink on and be happy brother. I'll have a Royal Oil (when they have it) instead.

My first beer after I arrived in Denver. Sampled this at the Falling Rock Tap House. Went perfectly with my burger. This one was recommended by the waiter who mentioned that Bull and Bush was his other job. I was surprised by this one...
Chill hazed dark amber caramel color. 1/2" white head, thick and laced the glass well. Strong citrus and pine aromas. Hops dominted but there was a touch of caramel malts. Nice. Strong bitterness and pine resin dominate. Grapefruit citrus and some earthy hops. This is what I like in an IPA. Mediumish body, lasting bitterness and a biting crispness. Highly drinkable and quite refreshing. No hints of the alcohol in this. Good stuff...

Slightly hazy in appearance. Copper penny color. Moderate head retention. The aroma is just a faint whiff of hops and is a bit underwhelming. Now the flavor is a different story. The hops are a bit more on the grapefruit side and quickly make their presence known. There's some good balance with the malt but this is hop forward. Pretty smooth mouthfeel. Just a hint of somewhat of an applesauce/vinegar aftertaste.

Served in a pint glass at the Bull and Bush Pub. Excellent copper color with crystal clear clarity and a half inch of off-white head.
Aroma is citrus hops and a touch of sweetness.
Taste is amazingly citrusy - I would love to know what kind of hops they use because it was almost erie how fruity this one was! It's fairly sweet too but well balanced with all those hops.
Mouthfeel was really creamy and smooth. Nicely bittered and alcohol is concealed well.
Very drinkable even at 7% and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Man Beer, even to a woman!

Had this on tap at falling rock, a nice suprise for sure!
Pours a ruddy red to mahogany with a 3/4" white head. Okay lacing & head retention
S: A hint of fruittyness
T" Malty& fruitty with loads of piney hops. Finishes fruitty & hoppy...
MF: Rich, full & perfectly carbonated
Drinks way easier than the 7.0 abv. A very nice balanced IPA. I need to go check this pub out...

Served in a 12 oz pint glass:
The beer was served a nice clear, amber color with a white head that was not retained. The beer has a nice lacing though.
Light hop aroma, citrus perhaps with maybe a hint of sweetness from the malted barley.
Taste is good, pretty well piney hops. I really did not get a whole lot more out of it, but it was solid.
The body had a lighter medium feel to it with good carbonation, it was smooth and pretty easy to drink with a slightly better than average dry bitter aftertaste. Overall, it was a nice IPA, but I found it rather simple and I have had much better IPA's.

So, on to the infamous Man Beer! From notes during my GABF 07 trip (had at the brewpub itself).
This beer has a wonderful balance. The malt here serves as an excellent complement to the hops. Hops are fresh, citrusy and floral - not very resiny. Nice lingering bitter finish that isn't overly bitter.
I remember this being a very, very drinkable beer. Try some!

On tap at Falling Rock, Denver. Pours a burnt brown golden color with thick head. Smell is way too malty and too hoppy. Taste again, is too malty, way too malty and too hoppy. I know its an English IPA, which would explain the malts, but it just didnt work for me. I love hops (and a good english ale), but there was something overly unbalanced about this one...
there are just way better options in Denver than to have a Man Beer...
