Copper hued with vibrant carbonation. Brussels lacing. A quarter inch of off white head rests on top. Aroma of ginger and perhaps lemon is detectable. The taste is comprised of light malt and ginger. The body is creamy and thick.

2010 vintage.

I had this one on tap the other night at the brewery. Poured a medium caramel color with a smallish off-white head. Aromas of juniper, wintergreen, nutmeg, assorted Holiday spices and a little caramel. On the palate, this one was medium bodied and balanced, with flavors of Christmas spice, juniper, nutmeg, cardamom and caramel.

my first bottle from bull and bush, a longtime favorite of mine. finally get to have this gem again, and man is it good. dark copper color, well clear, and boasting a soap sudsy tan head with big bubbles and one heck of a great holiday aroma. some good spice to the nose here, cinnamon, but subtle, and packed with a ton of colorado honey, wild and sweet. rich caramel malts and english crystal define the malt taste, sweet and bread. soft spice, not too much at all, and easy alcohol for its size, which is listed at 7.8%. sweet but drying in the finish, one of the better winter warmers going. full bodied, well carbonated, and clean tasting, with a lingering mellow spice on the tongue. a really fun beer i will be hammering for there next few months.

I was told by the bartender and waitress that this brew is a winter seasonal on test in the summer. Adn was also told it was very "spicey". What the heck--I tried it.
Presented in a chalice, dark amber color, a bit cola looking, reddish tints. Head was marginal, lingered around the edge.
Smell...well it smells like chirstmas. A big whaff of pine and juniper. A very herbal smell, almost like spiked eggnog without the egg. A bit biscuity.
Taste: I swear this is sage, rosemary and thyme beer. Mix in some slight floral and glazed donut. Not sweet, though. The hops remind me of an IPA, but the herbs speak of winter. A bit of nutmeg in the finish. A busy brew, to be sure.
Tastes good, but it's a bit rich. A 1/2 pint is enough. Gimmie something a bit less hectic.

Draft at the brewpub.

Pour a dark copper color with dark golden orange edges and a one finger off white head that slowly fades into lasting ring.  Sopradic spots of lace.

Sweet malty aroma with subtle medicinal quality and a prominent spice character.  Zesty pepper, clove, cinnamon brown sugar and pumpkin.  Sweet rye caramel and biscuit.

Fuller bodied than expected with a nice balance of sweet malt notes and zesty wintertime spice.  Hints of rye, molasses, honey caramel, toffee and biscuit with hints of pepper, clove, nutmeg vanilla, cinnamon and brown sugar.  Abv excellently masked with litte to no heat, just some warmth in the finish. The best of the three beers I had from this place.

I was a little shocked to see this item in the middle of summer! It's actually my favorite B&B seasonal, so it was a welcome sight, though!
(Of note - the "official" name is Yule Fuel)
Arrives in the normal B&B goblet. It's got a small amount of head, but it's not really foamy. The color is a brownish red. At first glance, you'd likely think it's a barleywine.
Smell is VERY strange! It reminds me of spruce, cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon, and peppermint. I have no idea what kind of spices are in this brew, but there's a depth I can't even explain.
Taste starts off sweet and cinnamon-based, but it moves into a hop bitterness and finishes with nutmeg and spruce tips. I first had this brew last winter and I thought it was a spruce (rather than hopped) based beer. This version has the hops playing more of a role, but that spruce and peppermint are still the show stealers.
My wife loves this brew and will keep ordering them all day, but I think 2's my limit. Still, it's the middle of summer. I recall having several of these last winter and enjoying every sip.
I think I'm going to ask what's in this brew next time I stop in. There's nothing like it anywhere.
I really like it, but it's polarizing to the point where I could see some people hating it.

2014 version... A spicy, hearty, higher-alcohol winter warmer is just what the doctor ordered when a snowstorm moves into the area. Done and done. They go through this stuff very quickly on tap, but luckily I was able to get a 1/2 liter bottle at my table (usually they just sell these to-go), so all was good. Glad I finally managed to get my hands on this beer.

Deep amber-orange color with thin one-finger foamy head. Lacing is missing...

The nose on this one is pure Christmas. Tons of spruce pine, spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel, fig, spicy!!! Amazing complexity; nearly too much to handle.

Pine, nuts, grape, berry, cinnamon, creamy fizzy carbonation, well placed back-end sweetness is light yet pronounced.

If Christmas had a flavor, this beer would be it! It's nailed and goes much appreciated. Tons of smooth spice. For being an absolute spice bomb, it's done well and is very drinkable for what it is. Nice work B&B!

From notes during my GABF 07 trip (had at the brewpub itself).

2005 Vintage.

Some head. Really, really interesting smell. Light red wine, lots of light, delicate oak - wow!

Cloudy dark amber color.

Heavy on the delicate oak flavor (if that even makes sense!). Some nice fruitiness with a touch of tartness. Starts with oak then transitions to tartness and finishes with some oak. Flavor is indeed interesting.

Mouthfeel and drinkability are both very good.
