Currently on tap at B&B. Limited release.

Poured a dark burnt orange almost mahagony with minimal head but pretty decent lacing considering.

Smell was fresh hops, pine and citrus. A slightly sweet, flowery aroma is suprisingly present as well.

Taste starts with a big bitterness that assaults your buds followed by a pleasant mellowing backbone of malt and sweetness.

Mouthfeel is on par for the style.

Drinkability is decent although you can tell this is a big one.

Overall this isn't the best DIPA I have had but it is a very good offering from B&B. I wish they would allow growlers of their big beers as I would love to share them with fellow BA's.

Arrives a pretty dark color for a DIPA. It wasn't quite brown, but it was headed in that direction moreso than the orange/copper you typically expect. I checked it in the light a few times, and it's definitely not just the lighting. At first I thought I got the wrong beer.
Smells of citrus-like fruity hops and a boozy sweetness. I definitely got the right beer after all.
Taste isn't quite as boozy or as hoppy as I expected. It's definitely hoppy, but I'm getting more of a sweet peachy/apricot flavor. The finish is more hoppy and grapefruit. No real burn from this one up-front, but as you work your way down, you get a little more.
Mouthfeel is thick and reminds me of a cask ale a little bit. It could actually likely use a little more fizz as it's a little flat.
One's enough as I actually got a little bored.
Not too bad, but nothing amazing. I prefer Justice or even the normal Man beer to this one.

On tap at the bull and bush, Dark brown and off-color for a DIPA. The smell is some hops but again deviates from the style. The flavor was strong sweet fruityness and it really doesn't fit the style. The one thing this beer has going for it is that it really does taste like a double man beer, just not a double IPA.

On tap at the Bull and Bush. Poured into a snifter. This one has been brought out of retirement and spruced up as the breweries 42nd Anniversary Ale!
Appearance - very dark for an IPA; bordering on brown, could easily mistake for a brown ale or porter. Little head and lacing.
Smell - wonderful; much more citrus and floral hop notes than the Man Beer!
Taste - follows the nose; very hop forward! Refreshing at 11% ABV!
Feel- nice hop bitterness; alcohol becomes more present as it warms.
Overall - excellent beer! A bit pricey, though, probably better off getting the regular Man Beer and saving $2 or $3.
