Visited on 4/28/09 at noon, reviewed from notes, located in a cool area near a nice long river in the Cherry Creek part of Denver, dark inside with old wooden furniture and fixtures but it is fitting, walk in and are greeted by a neat area with lots of accessories for sale including several different shirts coming in various colors and multiple kinds of glassware, awards hanging from the walls all over the place, ten taps with all their beers, three of those were seasonals, an IPA, coffee stout, and barleywine, had those as well as Man Beer was impressed for the most part with the beers, this would be a neat place to lounge with friends at night and have a beer, lots of history in this place and has been going since 1971, met the brewer and he was a nice guy as well, nachos, fish and chips, and sandwiches looked good but we did not eat anything, place had awesome root beer, tank room and brew house are in separate buildings behind the pub and rather small but they seem to get the job done, nice local hangout, I am bummed I missed their famous beer Legend of the Liquid Brain but I am sure I will be able to try it one day (1,137 characters)

A faux Tudor styling on the outside with an equally dated (yet warm and inviting) old wood interior in the main room. There is also a side room with a view of the fermentation tanks and an additional covered outdoor patio area.

The house brews are generally quite good and cover a wide spectrum of styles. During our visit, they offered everything from a very tasty pilsner, English mild, a Scottish ale, and several stouts amongst other things. Their guest tap list is impressive and includes many beers not normally seen in other places. In fact, my first beer was a Spanish smoked ale (DeDues Tocotta from CervesesDeDeus). Other guest beers spanned the styles from German bocks and weizens to English brown ales, porters and stouts to Belgian saisons, strong ales, and tripels (to point out a few).

The food was generally good, inexpensive, and sporting very generous portions. The B&B wings were some of the best, meatiest wings I've had in a long time.

The staff was engaging and helpful throughout.

Our first experience will have us coming back for more... (1,066 characters)

A-The Bull & Bush is located where the urban neighborhoods of Denver give way to suburban neighborhoods in Glendale. There is a nice, big, covered patio, and the inside of the joint is a medium sized restaurant with about 12 bar stools and 20-ish tables. In back, some couches encourage lounging. The place is somewhat dark inside with a hint of faux English pub feel and dark wood. Every time I have been to the B&B, it has been full, but not spilling-over crowded. The crowd ranges from hipster beer geeks to families depending on the time of day.

Ser-On my last visit, our waitress impressed me with her knowledge of the beer and the food menu. She was a little slow, but that was OK, we weren't in a hurry. Beers arrived with a good head and they were served at the right temperature.

Sel-In addition to a half-dozen B&B beers on tap, there are maybe 20 guest taps. The options last night included Belgians, U.S. craft of all shapes and sizes, and other higher end imports. I did not see anything mindblowingly rare on the list, but I had no problem finding stuff to drink.

Q-I like all of the beers that I have tried from B&B, from the brown, to the IPA, to the more unusual things like a beet-infused tripel and the BA stout. The guest taps are quality too.

F-The pub fare at B&B is tasty, but nothing spectacular. I have tried the fish and chips (they're solid), as well as various sandwiches, and have been satisfied. You won't find much in the way of health food here.

V-The prices are good for beer and food. I would put them at less than average for Denver.

O-The B&B may not be the next big thing, but it is definitely worth a visit if you are tired of the next big thing. (1,692 characters)

This is my kind of place. Dark, old-school, with a very rustic feel. Lots of exposed wood, and extremely old bar, stained glass accent pieces. This place is great. Ton of tvs throughout, and this is a place that packs people in on Sundays for football games. They offer a pretty impressive bottle list of Belgians, sours, and the like. Their tap list runs about 10 deep, and they offer a fresh hop press option where you get to pick your hops and base beer, it all comes in a press, and you get to infuse and drink. Pretty cool. The food was great. We were there for a Sunday brunch, and the prices were extremely reasonable. Staff was awesome. Tons of swag available, and beer to go in bottles and growlers. I can't wait to get back here. (739 characters)

One of Denver's oldest establishments, a traditional English-style pub with good food and beer made right there on premises. Spend an evening here and you'll be back for sure. They have a good number of beers on tap at all times, though they do tend to run out of some now and then. But there's always something good to be had here, and they are offering some new brews now that the expansion is complete. (408 characters)

A long Uber ride from downtown. This place reminds me of Rock Bottom KOP + the former Blue Ox Brauhaus. The bartender at Falling Rock recommended we go here. Bill gives the food a 5, I didn't eat here. I had the Pilsener and Bill had the Man Beer. It was okay, atmosphere was a little weird to me. (302 characters)
