Much more a weizenbock than a rye beer. Lots of bubblegum and banana, very nice overall

Served in a pint glass. 22 oz. Purchased directly at the Port Jeff Brewing Company.

Appearance: A little darker gold with light bubbles on the body. White head about 1/4" with little depth too it.

Smell: Honestly it smells little weak, light light hops scent.

Taste: This beer is a notch on the complex side, little yeasty plus over overwhelmingly sour which I was expecting. Has a bitter feel but still smooth and malty.

Mouth: Medium carbonation, sharp almost cheddar like after-taste.

Overall: Not a bad brew, Port Jeff has made better though but definitely not an experiment gone wrong. In my honest opinion this brew is best suited right after a meal. Drink and enjoy, Salud!
