I had this for over a year so of course it wasn't fresh but it was well preserved. I poured it out of a 355ml bottle and the color was great, a hazy orange. The smell was interesting, somewhat weird (pungent) but bearable. Next time i'll just try it fresh.

Definitely a very interesting beer. Pours a hazy golden color with impressive foam and lacing.

Taste is unique and decidedly different. As you would expect from a beer with 100 IBU, it is very hoppy, with an herbal, almost resinous taste. The beer is also made with avocado leaves and hoja santa (an aromatic herb used frequently in Mexican cuisine, and also present in a select few Mexican craft beers), both of which may add to the herbal taste. That said, it is a bit unbalanced, and has a strong alcohol taste as well.

Overall, this is a solid effort from a rapidly growing craft beer scene. Compares favorably with Minerva's El Dorado, and would definitely recommend this beer (or any of La Chingoneria's beers) to anyone seeking something other than Corona down here.

A: Pours a nice copper tanned color with a nice head! Little alcohol lace!

S:Not a nice ipa aroma.. at the begging it has a very pungent hop aroma wanting to be floral but not getting there! Strong alcohol aroma.

T: Strong bitterness followed again by the pungent taste, sweet Finnish ! Lots of alcohol flavor! Not nice

M: medium body, with not very much carbonation

O: Its a very unbalance IPA Not many hop aroma or taste present! Lots of alcohol in the nose and taste!
