Poured from a bomber into a true pint, the beer is a slightly hazed, cloudy, ruby-amber coloring with a thin, filmy, steadfast, off-white head of about an eighth of an inch that lingers throughout the duration of the brew. Aromas of fruit sweetness, both date and cherry, with some caramel tones in the backbone and a toasted grain overtone. Flavors are rich and robust all over the palate, with tropical fruits blending with old world fruits on the forward tongue, transitioning into a tangy caramel and floral mix. Very subtle roasting/toasting at the end of the palate, leading into a sweet, almost cloying aftertaste. Images of an exotic fruitcake run through my head while I am drinking. Light and smooth in mouth, the beer has a light, slightly effervescent finish, with remnants of the more sweeter fruit profiles linger on a bit.

22oz bottle purchased at Tully's in Wells, Maine. Pours a crystal-clear copper body with about a half inch of off white head. Bread and caramel make up the flavor. Caramel, bread, chocolate, nut comprise the flavor. Balanced, complex, but not in your face about it. Awesome.

Into the pint glass:

A: clear red body leaves a large off-white foamy four finger head that lasts for thirty seconds. There is some carbonation seen rising through the transparent body.

S: some caramel coming out in an off-sort of way, light malts and hops are there staggering through some grainy soapiness.

T: same smells coming through.

M: light to medium with some harshness on the tongue. There is a sticky aftertaste. I would say this is mostly drinkable.

O: I'm not impressed with this, however, I won't fault the brewer because I'm the one who chose to have it now. I will seek this out again next year fresher.

Beautiful Redhead!

Slight sulfur smell compliments the lager yeast cleanliness. Slight breadyness.

Tastebuds are picking up caramel coated cereal grains, slight hop profile, more in the afterthought than in the nose. Very solid mouthfeel, nice roundness.

Big fan, would def buy again.
