Stopped in at Tony's a little while back, and heard that they have recently expanded their drafts to 30 lines. This makes them basically the best game in town for beer, as Bossanova had no drafts, and Big Muddy was pretty average all around.
Atmosphere before the remodel was pretty old school Italian restaurant, brick walls, lots of framed photos and articles, some beer mirrors, tv's and neons up front. Hightop tables in the bar area on the left of the front doors, open island bar in the center, with dining areas to the right and down the back hall.
Service was attentive and friendly. At the time I had a Six Row Whale on draft, and it was fresh. Food menu had a nice variety of pizzas, Italian entrees, and appetizers.
Draft highlights: 3-4 Schlafly (Pumpkin), 2 from 6 Row (Whale & DIPA), Weihenstephaner, 2 Bells (Two Hearted, Oberon), Dead Guy, Moose Drool, Boulevard, Matilda, Hofbrau Oktoberfest and SA Oktoberfest. Hope they continue to rotate seasonals and bring in more craft beers, Alton needs a place like this.
They do offer beer flight samplers also, and have been posting new seasonals on their facebook page.
