Pours a burnt orange with a 1 finger white head that lingers for a while. Light carbonation runs up the glass and the body is fairly clean and clear. The smell is pine up front. Fairly muted. A little bready malt in there with a touch of sweetness coming though as well. First sip is bitter pine with some orange mixed in there. The finish is tongue-punchingly bitter. Medium body and coats the tongue completely. Bitterness lingers for a while.

This is a good beer for those who like bitter, pine bombs. It's well made and very drinkable but not my favorite.

Appearance - Very nice, orange to amber color. Good inch head

Smell - Sweet grapefruit and citrus aromas

Taste - The taste of citrus is more faint on the sip than the smell the hoppy taste rolls in

Mouthfeel - very nice mouth feel not heavy not light. the lightness might be to a more moderate carbonation but all in all great

Overall - really wish my parents brought back more of this from their trip to NC. very nice West coast IPA well rounded just near perfect

A nice IPA reminiscent of West Coast IPAs with an abundance of fresh hops and grapefruit overtones. A bit on the cloudy side. Bitterness in the mouthfeel, but not overly so and with a nice amount of smoothness on the tongue.

A nice example of what an IPA should be, but I'm starting to get jaded or something - so many good IPAs out there now that this doesn't jump out even though there isn't anything wrong with it.

Pint can poured into a nonic pint glass. 10/27/2014 is the date on the bottom (I think).

Pours slightly cloudy with a medium head. Medium active carbonation. Brownish amber in color. Smell is nice. lots of hops. Very green and flowery. Some pine.

Taste is cloyingly bitter, some honeysuckle and orange sweetness (but not much). Nice strong bitter finish. Definite grapefruit rind bitterness.

Mouthfeel is dry and resinous. Overall, it's a quite good beer.

A--No clue had it out of the can
S--grapefruit up front, hop forward. Dank and clear resin that is reminiscent to my old paramour Heady Topper
T--Bitter, great hop taste, not as fruity on the palate as it smells. Good balance, malt finish
M--medium, good carbonation
O--What a great beer from NoDa. I was very impressed and certainly look forward to having more next time I come to Charlotte.
