Imbibed on tap at Taps on 11/22/2012.

Clear, metallic tawny yellow with active carbonation and dense, creamy white head. Fruity yeasty aroma starts with berries and fades to pungent almond. Nutty flavor and pungent yeast, along with some unfermented malt, which come off almost cloying. Easily drinkable, this is slightly watery with a  sweet finish. I've had better kolsches.

On-tat at Taps in Brea

A: The pour is a very pale yellow color with a mild white head and some mild lacing.

S: The nose is primarily of bread with a touch of grainy sweetness and a mild earthy hop aroma.

T: The flavor is similar to the nose with a bready malt flavor along with a slight sweetness. The hops are earthy and provide a rather pronounced bitterness.

M: The body is light with a fairly lively carbonation and a touch of lingering bitterness.

D: As the style should be, a pretty easy drinking beer with a lightness to it and some decent hop bitterness.
