On Tap at The Reagle Beagle
Clear orange amber color with moderate lacing.
Moderate aroma of pine and orange zest and sugar cookie.
Pine and grapefruit bitterness is more pronounced in the taste but there is enough malt to make it drinkable. Unfortunately I am also picking up a hint of soap.
Medium body, finishes a bit crisp. Well carbonated.
A decent IPA but not much complexity.

Dark amber body. Thin white head. Decent lacing down the glass.
Highly aromatic nose. Smells strongly of grapefruit and pine.
Grapefruit citrus flavors, high bitterness, and balanced by a strong bready malt backbone. All in all, very good; highly drinkable.
A really nice offering from Taps that goes along incredibly well with their food. A tasty, bitter, citrusy and piney IPA.

First off, I'm not sure this is a DIPA as listed, and it didn't seem anywhere near 9.0 ABV.
Anyway, the appearance was very attractive. A glowing reddish/gold with a nice finger cap that left great lacing. It started off as very citrusy and piney in the nose and taste. A sharp and clean strong bitterness was left in each sip. Really woke the taste buds up and was a joy to drink. Moutfeel was light-medium with a smooth, lightly slick character. The cask of this IPA had just kicked so this was only from regular tap, but it was still great.
Poured a dark gold in color, hazy at first. Definitely a very citrusy and resiny taste to it, the body is a bit thicker than your standard IPA, so this might almost be getting up there to like a 1.5 IPA, or maybe it really almost is a DIPA. Very tasty though like I said, just a touch heavier than a standard IPA like Stone IPA or Russian River IPA.
Gonna knock my score down a tad- with the appearance from 4.5 to 4.

Poured a clear amber color with a thin white head. Noticeable carbonation.
Has a fruity, citrusy aroma. Somewhat spicy.
Taste started off with a hit of citrus fruit before the hops begin to build. Hops spiciness slowly increases and I was left with a long mild bitter finish. Slight alcohol tang at the finish
Feel is medium-bodied, smooth and dry.
As IPA's go, this one is tamer than most of the others I've tried. I wasn't overwhelmed by hops as I have been by more aggressive IPA's. This one still is surprisingly tasty and easily drinkable. Maybe not the one for hop-heads but pretty good for the rest of us.

Obvious choice being a hophead.
Just on the amber side of golden. Thin frothy white head. Medium carbonation.
Nice hoppy citrus aroma. Text book ipa stuff. Well done. Not pushing the extreme level here but very nice as it is.
Great balance of malt and hops. Strong bitterness and hop flavor keep things in check. Don't think this was 9% as listed but the malt back bone held it's own.
Well crafted and highly drinkable. Really enjoyed this.

On cask at Taps in Brea
A: The pour is light amber in color with a thin white head on top and some mild lacing.
S: The nose is very heavy on the citrus hops. The grapefruit is the primary aroma with a bit of sweet, caramel malt in the background.
T: The citrus is a bit less pronounced than in the nose. Still some good grapefruit flavor, but less intense than I was expecting. There's a bit of bready malt as the backbone along with a touch of pine.
M: The body is medium with the usual low carbonation of a cask conditioned ale.
D: This is one of the better Taps beers I've had. A great nose and a pretty decent flavor to it. I would like to try it on tap to see how it compares to the cask.

Cask to pint glass
Taps in Brea
App- A very dark orange with some muted yellow and gold highlights.
Smell- This was like a fresh boquet of flowers. The addition of some nice dry hops were very aromatic.
Taste- This was very nice and smooth. The hops are very piney but muted to balance the grapefruit like taste. This was a touch bitter but balanced all the same.
Mouth- A little sweet and a nice medium body with a low carb due to the casking of this beer. It left a nice little fruit taste.
Drink- A little bit lighter than I thought and was very good. Very aromatic, very dry.

On tap at Neighborhood San Diego. 16oz glass.
A- Hazy amber color, with two fingers of white foam. Great lacing.
S- Citrus hops, pale malt and a bit of pine.
T- Starts out with big citrus notes. Orange and bitter grapefruit predominate. Malt tries to enter mid palate but the hops beat it into submission pretty quickly. Pine enters in a big way at the finish and there is a lingering hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste.
M- the beer is medium bodied with a nicely medium level of carbonation.
O- This offering from Taps is a very nice example of a west coast IPA. Some might call it a bit one dimensional due to it's emphasis on the hops, but I like it. It's hoppy, it's bitter, and it's pretty darned good.

On tap at TAPS Fish House & Brewery in Corona, CA.
Pours a hazy gold with a foamy white head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with a citrus zest flavor on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

Had this on tap at TAPS...reading that sentence a fews times through can be really funny.
Appearance: Nice copper/golden color with frothy white head; average lacing.
Smell: Smells great! A lot of that fresh piney and leafy hop freshness. Didn't pick up too many fruity/citrus like aromas.
Taste: A super soapy taste that I could handle for the first half of the sip, but then made me want to spit it out. Along with this unpleasant taste, a super harsh and bitter finish added another unwanted touch. I usually don't like being this brutal with my reviews, but this just tasted bad!
Mouthfeel: Medium body and good carbonation...nothing to complain about.
Drinkability: I usually love the beers that Victor comes out with, but this one of the least drinkable IPA's out there. Sorry.
Overall: Average at best. My recommendation: Avoid. Cheers!
Serving type: on-tap

A: poured amber brown with yellow highlights and a half finger of head that left good sticky lacing on the glass.
S: had a nice floral piney aroma with citrus and caramel malt notes. There also seemed to be faint grapefruit and grassy notes as well.
T: the hop bite is mild and not as potent as I thought it would be but has a pretty good sweet malt balance which also had ctirus grapfruit, and caramel accents.
M: medium body with a fair amount of carbonation that had a slight sweet and mild bitter hop finish.
D: it drank quite well and was a little dissapointed on the hop charater on this brew. This is just an average IPA.

I don't think this beer is actually a DIPA, the menu says that its an IPA and the abv is 8.0%. That being said, this beer poured a nice amber color with some nice white foam that laced the glass nicely. It smelled similar to their APA, that is it smelled quite hoppy (obviously dry hopped) and malty. Interestingly enough it was milder in smell and flavor than their APA. It tasted nice and hoppy with a good malt backbone. Very smooth and very drinkable. Good all around IPA.
