Nice beer oasis in western Cary and Morrisville.
While mainly a wine store, they have a nice array of beer throughout the store. Cooler section on the far left near the registers has a smaller selection of ready-to-drink while the main attraction is on the far right of the store. Don't miss the close-outs and specials in the front center of the store as well.
Well done bar area in the back with 12 or so taps. Attended the Founders takeover they had there a few weeks back and they did a really nice job with that.
Overall selection is solid and representative of beers available in the area. The big plus for them is that you would have to drive pretty far from their store to find most of what they have to offer. All Triangle breweries represented well.
While not a destination, this is a shop well worth visiting if you are in the area.

Atmosphere: If you work in RTP chances are Triangle Wine Co. is on your way home. They have 20 taps and over 1000 different beers. There is a patio outside and nice high top tables you can relax in inside. They also have a few little loungers for kids. The vibe is relaxed and the staff and owners are friendly. It's located next to a fairly busy intersection on McCrimmon and Davis, right at the border between Cary and Morrisville. The patio is a few months old and pretty nice, although it faces that busy intersection, where everyone seems to enjoy honking their horn.
+There are plenty of places to stand during beer events, which happen every Friday.
+The store and bathrooms are always clean and tidy.
+They are friendly to folks who bottle share in the establishment as well.
Quality: I've seen out of date bottles here and they tend to keep things a little longer than they should but that is normal at all but a few places here in the RTP (never seen this at Ridgewood or Bottle Rev for instance). In spite of this, the overall quality is exceptional as these out of date bottles are the exception, and they are usually deeply discounted. I don't think they clean their lines after each keg, which is an easy process improvement that they should try to make.
Service: I've always been quite pleased with the service here, but I am what you would call a regular. Sometimes the place can be a little understaffed during the day and you may have to hunt someone down to get a pour. They aren't a bar, so there isn't always a bartender and the staff is busy. The staff is so friendly, not a hint of beer snobbery. The owners and non-wine staff love to talk beer.
+They have a beer club for members, and members get first dibs on allocated beer. There isn't a lot of cherry picking happening here, which, as a regular, I like.
Selection: The selection is great here (1000+). You can always find something you like among the 20 taps and the tap takeovers will usually have one or two beers that you won't find in most places. Tap selection has been improving.
-They are missing a few things and seem to get the allocated stuff a little later than most of the Raleigh bottle shops. They don't have Wicked Weed or No-Da so that's a bummer.
-No growler fills, sadly. I'm not sure how they could fill growlers and keep their uniform pricing.
+If you like foreign beers, their selection of German beers is unmatched and only Sam's matches their Belgian offerings.
Value: $5.00 pours for most of the 20 taps, which is usually a steal. Occasionally, for high dollar beers they'll ask more, but 300/365 days all taps will be $5.00.
-On the higher end 750's they tend to be a few dollars more than other places in RTP.

I always enjoy visiting Triangle. Like many of the people who frequent it, I work nearby.
The tap list is usually top notch, with the occasional hard-to-find brew on board after a Friday night tap takeover. $5 for everything on tap and some specials from time to time.
The selection is not bad at all. Since it's near so many large companies, rare bottles tend to go faster than other places, but the overall selection is well thought out.
Great location that fills a niche that is wrought for filling in Morrisville/heart of RTP.

Decent bottle shop. Has a large selection of singles but they seem to have a problem keeping six packs in stock and not a large bomber selection. You can still find everything as far as your go to beers but they seem to get most new beers a week or so after most of the other stores get them and tend to not get as many of the special releases as everyone else.
Great draft selection and they have weekly tap takeovers that bring in some good breweries. I have had Hopslam, Sexual Chocolate, and Enjoy By there in the past 6 months.
Most of the people there are wines guys but Mike is great with beer recommendations.

So close to my house that I have to visit often but if it was 50 miles away I would still make the drive. Great selection, knowledgeable staff and great tap events make this place you must visit if in Morrisville.
Join their beer club to get a chance at rarer beers but the beers are first come first served. I have been able to get many good beers here and would recommend this site to any beer lover.

This isn't as close to me as I'd like but it's the shop I most visit. They get great beers, keep their regulars well informed through Twitter and email and always have something great on tap. They carry a large supply and seem to move it fast enough to keep it fresh. I'm a big fan of this place!
