Served in a pint glass at the Union Brewhouse in Weymouth.

Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a hazy pale yellow orange color with some vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Nice lacing on the glass as the beer was drank.

Smell: Tropical, floral, grassy, pungent, caramel, citrus, and toasted

Taste: The hop flavor is solid all the way through. Nice bitterness in the rear and the malts also balance things out too.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, mild bitterness, medium bodied, and medium carbonation.

Overall: Pretty nice somewhat unfiltered IPA. At first I was a little hesitant, but I enjoyed every sip.

A - A nice, cream colored head sits atop a bright apricot body. Beautiful lacing after a generous pour into a pint glass.

S - A deep backbone of apricot and mango in the aroma of this one. The smell's got some humidity to it. Very nice

T - Very fruity ale here. Smooth and without an exaggerated carbonation, the ale packs a punch with the various hops. Banana, apricot, and mango. Beautiful balance of Calypso, Ella, and Pacific jade hops.

M - Medium to heavy - the smooth character of this ale is, as previously mentioned in some past reviews, perfect for summer days. It's almost juicy.

O - Best beer I've had from Slumbrew, bar none. I stumbled upon this one, not even hearing of its fairly recent release. Not very forgiving on the wallet, around 9.50, but it's worth it to pop a bottle on a nice summer afternoon.

Tastes more like a Belgian pale ale. Mango a little banana. Just absolutely delicious! Perfectly balanced! Serve ice cold and taste the stress away. I would love to find this on draught, but either way I would definitely buy this again. Hopefully this becomes a year-round offering . Slumbrews beers just keep getting better and better

A: Pours a very hazy light orange/yellow with a lively head that retains well.
S: The hops are on display with the nose. Combination of citrus, lemon, apple, and pepper.
T: Upfront, I get the lemon and apple, and some citrus. The finish is an assertive pepper and citrus, with an earthy, spicy balance. The hop bitterness lingers a long while.
M: This has a soft mouthfeel and is very carbonated.
O: This is a great example of the Vermont IPA. Where this beer succeeds is in balancing what the three different hops bring to the table, you can taste the calypso, ella/stella, and pacific jade without one hop dominating over the others.

Never had Ella hops, but do love the other two, so I hope this is good.

Pours a decent creamy frothy 1 finger head that fades pretty slowly with nice lines of lacing when it does, super hazy murky tangerine orange colored.

Nose is interesting, loads and loads of citrus, just pure orange juice in there, orange zest, touch of grapefruit pith, even a hint of pineapple in the background, some bitter rind and zest and pith, faint hint of a resin note, and some mild sweet malts barely detectable.

Taste brings the mild sweet malts out front, a little grainy and some sweet caramel like notes, touch of candied orange, and later on the taste a mild toffee like note. Then hops, plenty of them, a mix of fruits, citrus mostly, with a little piney earthy note. The hops first bring some pine actually, a little earthy pine forest floor note, terroir like, and a touch of sap and resin. Then citrus, orange peel and little grapefruit pith, some green unripe tree fruit, some tangy zest and big rind bitterness. Finish attempts to dry a bit and does so, but a touch sticky feeling, long bitter hop finish, long and spicy hop flavors, a little chewy hop like, hints at astringent even, with some pith and bitter orange peel also lingering. The more it warms and the more I drink it, the more a nice citrus tangerine like flavor starts to come through, with that bitter rind and pith, and even a little grapefruit like note of flavor.

Mouth is med bod, nice carb, a bit heavy feeling for med bod.

Overall not bad, decent hop profile, better on the nose but still OK on the flavor, wish it had a bit more on the citrus and pineapple notes than the earthy pine terroir. Still a pretty nice IPA with good citrus rind and overall flavor and aroma. Quite enjoyable, and actually reminds me of something Tree House would do but a little bit lower on the totem pole.

Poured out into a tulip, a fluffy, large white bubbled head about 2 fingers, the color is burnt orange and hazy golden sunset. Looks really inviting. The smell is lots of citrus, maybe a bunch of orange zest. This one tastes like they've used Belgian yeast. Nothing on the bottle proclaims this a Belgian ipa. Getting that classic belgian yeast quality, lots of bready, biscuit maltiness, a subtle touch of banana and clove. It kind of takes away from the hops, unless these hops have a flavor profile of belgian yeast. If that's the case, then this is successful. Besides that though, this is a decent enough ipa. Not sure I would revisit it at a little over $10 a bomber, but decent enough.

A-Pours a hazy orange color. Just how I like them. Average sized head that is white, leaving webby lace stains.

S-Interesting hop profile with a tripod hops I am rather unfamiliar with. Calypso, Ella and Pacific Jade hops give me a nose of candied oranges, herbs, mango and some green onion. Spicy yeast.

T-The flavor is less herby and oniony. It's more tropically fruity and citrusy. Noticeable mango. A good dose of yeast spice, maybe Belgian. Hops are fairly sweet. Sweet, moist cakey malt.

M-Medium bodied with a medium (nearing high) bitterness. Alcohol hidden well. Softer carbonation.

O-Another interesting Slubrew offering. Hops donate some interesting flavor here. Rarely am I unimpressed by this brewery.
