The hop profile in this beer brews an interesting Pale Ale.
Most pale ales are over carbonated, and lack good fruit which is often dwarfed by hoppy bitterness.
This beer has has Calypso, Ella and Jade hops, which brew an interesting fruit taste, and a fuller body. One of the fullest MF on a pale ale I’ve tasted.
The finish is moderately hoppy.
One of the better pale ales I’ve tasted in a long while.

16 oz. can dated 06/22/16
Pours cloudy hazy bright amber gold with a creamy frothy white foam head. Smells like spicy resinous herbal pine sap, earthy grass, some orange citrus, white grapefruit, pineapple, papaya, dried apple, pear, spice, with wheaty caramel malt. Tastes like spicy resinous herbal pine, earthy grass, orange, pineapple, mango, papaya, apple, pear, white grapefruit, with wheaty caramel malt and spice. Feel medium bodied, slick and creamy with moderate carbonation. Overall a nice spicy and herbal tropical IPA.

I tried this after a long day of tasting at other breweries in and around Boston, so my rating might not be entirely accurate.

So cloudy that the beer looks like milk has been added. It looks like caramel candy. Small but lasting head. There's a blanket of opposite the side I'm drinking from.
Fresh cut floral hop aroma.
A bit sweet with touches of wheat and yeast. The finish is all hop--very strong, like black pepper. The aftertaste remains a very long time. High carbonation but the body is big enough to stand up to this. Lightly tart with a bit of a yeast bite.

Poured into a sam adams custom glass: color is gold, hazy/opaque, good carbonation, head is 2 inches thick and lingers quite well with fine bubbles and lacing.
Smell is enticing: fruity and bitter, citrus and mango type aromas with light malt toastiness.
Taste is surprising, fruity and bitter, citrus and mango again come forward then a slight funkiness nearing a saison flavor profile, but a bit too bitter to fit that style.
Mouthfeel is very dry, very bitter a little to much for the lighter malt profile, I think it detracts from this ale.
Overall, a nicely smelling brew, but it does not come together as a total package for me, a bit to dry and bitter.

While I did enjoy this beer, I am unsure why it is labeled as a pale ale. It is definitely not an IPA as categorized here on BA. I clearly smell and taste saison yeast which really changes the profile of this beer. I think it would do better as a yeast-neutral pale ale and let these hops shine more.
