12 oz. bottle poured into a weizen glass.
Appearance: Pours a hazy golden orange with a one-finger white head. Lacing is a little less than expected.
Aroma: This beer brings a big citrus aroma to the drinker, along with generous amounts of wheat and spices, and some lemon.
Taste: Reading the ad copy, I expected something a little more bombastic than this - I mean, the label references using 1,000 blood oranges or something. It's a nice wheat beer, but it doesn't explode on the palate or anything. Flavors do become a bit more pronounced as it warms.
Mouthfeel: Pretty standard, summery depth.
Overall: Decent wheat beer from this Mass. brewer, which, in my experience, trades in decent beers, but maybe not astounding ones. A nice addition to a mixed summer six, but not a mind-blower.
