A 22 ounce bottle from FluffyMcTingle; thanks! Bottled in 10/2011, and split into tulips.
Pours a creamy orange and yellow color with about a centimeter of white, fluffy head. Retention is moderate, and there is some subtle lacing to decorate the glass.
The aroma is of wheat, lemon zest, orange citrus, faint honey, some coriander, clove, and a bit of yeasty funk. Could pass as a fruity saison aroma.
It tastes of wheat, orange citrus, lemon, ample honey (much more honey on the palate than in the nose), coriander, clove, and grass. Very refreshing and well balanced.
Mouthfeel is great, being crisp and finishing relatively clean, albeit a touch dry.
Overall, a very good hefeweizen that is worth trying. I felt like the honey was a nice touch alongside the oranges.
