Poured from a 650 ml bottle into a standard pint.

A: Cloudy, golden hue. Pours a giant, foamy, white head. Settles slowly leaving giant peaks, valleys, craters, and lots of dry sticky residue. Plenty of dry, sticky lacing.

S: Raspberry, wheat, and lavender are prominent.

T: Fresh flora, including grass and lavender, with a slight fruitiness.

M: Light, crisp, and fruity.

D: Drink at will, but a slightly steely finish.

Atmosphere is pretty good. Nice coloration, really nice head, ad plenty of lacing. Nose is really full...fruit and flora. Flavor is wheaty, fruity, and flowery. Overall, this is a good quaff.

Poured into a Deschutes snifter from a bomber.

Color is golden and slightly on the amber side. Small head, nice lacing.

Smell is of musty hops, banana, and spice.

Taste starts out heavy on the spice typical of a traditional saison, but quickly a large juicy wave of hops hits you. Stays on the citrusy side throughout the finish.

Mouthfeel is nice and the beer is appropriately dry and crisp. It definitely lingers for quite some time.

It's not the best or most adventurous hoppy saison ever, but it's a pretty good interpretation of the style at a pretty nice price point. This is the best beer I've had from Slumbrew to date, and I have bought a couple over the course of the summer for this reason.

Poured into a Funky Buddha Brewery snifter. Bottleneck says Bottled On 08/06/12.

A- Pours a hazy medium amber color with a 1/2 inch white head that retains well before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a mostly full sheet of surface foam. Semi-resilient lacing leaves a thick ring behind.

S- Floral, as expected, with notes of lavender and honeysuckle. Plenty of wheat and yeast bring some banana to the table.

T- Flavor's pretty much your standard light saison. Plenty of fruity esters play off the yeast well and there's a sweetness throughout that's pleasant. Alcohol taste is hardly recognizable as it should be for the ABV.

M- A bit zesty and tangy with medium carbonation and a lightish body.

O- Pretty damn good for being a year old (my girlfriend bought it for me and didn't notice the bottled on dates (that's right, there were two of them) until she got home). My first Slumbrew beer and it certainly won't be my last.

Poured from a 22oz. bottle into a Harpoon limited edition tulip glass.

The color is golden orange with two fingers of foamy white head and some nice lacing left on the glass.

The smell is malty with a great Belgian-like yeast aroma in the nose. There is a sweetness to the aroma that has a earthy character.

The taste is grassy and has a hop presence that was unexpected. There is a mix of mild hops and sweet Belgian malts that has a light tickle of flavor that kicks with a slight bitterness toward the end.

The feel of this beer is smooth with a lighter to mild body. There is a great softness to this beer that has a subtle thump of bitterness that also springs a nice sweetness that softens any bitterness from weighting on your palate.
