Notes/Commercial Description:
An autumn brown ale with distinctive toasty flavors from an assortment of roasted malts and grains. As a seasonal, limited release beer, its nutty characteristics offer a great companion to colder climate cuisine. A bright hop finish from Cascade and Fuggles balance the toasted grain notes to create a new expression of autumn brown ales.

Brewed with Toasted Buckwheat, Maris Otter, Victory, Brown and Chocolate malts. Balanced with a bright hop finish from Fuggles and Cascade.

Opaque mahogany colored with ruddy highlights. A light brown frothy head lingers long, and remains for the duration of the glass. Aroma of roasty malt, charred bark, cocoa, raisin and root beer.

RIch flavor of darkly roasted malt, cocoa, brown sugar, espresso, and raisin. Firm bitterness from roast malt, plus some floral understated hops. Full and rich mouthfeel. Really good beer.

Clear, deep brown with a fluffy light brown cap. Good head retention, sticky lacing. Malty aroma, lots of roast and toffee, slight chocolate and burnt notes, faint hops -- very nice. Similar character in the flavour, but with moderate bitterness and slight tartness in the finish. Mild citrus was prominent up front and also lingered in the finish, earthy and slightly sweet overall. A bit of astringency was present, medium bodied, medium/low carbonation, decent texture. A good brown, quite enjoyable.

Bomber > 2X IPA Glass

A - Pours a rich creamy looking dark brown with nearly two fingers of tan head, nice medium tangents of lacing.
S - Wonderful aroma, a massive roasted and toasted grain and malt aroma, lots of hazelnut, some burnt hickory chips, oak, caramel, toffee, a little bit of alcohol, burnt dark chocolate, slight coffee roast.
T - Taste is nearly identical to the aroma, lots of toasted malts and caramel, a lot of burnt kind of aftertaste, rich coffee bean roasts as well.
M - This is what I like least, there is some alcohol burn to it, and its especially bitter for a brown ale, its definitely full.
O - This is an outstanding brown ale, the toasted traits in this shine for sure. Its just a bit too bold for my normal liking at 7.5%, but do not let that deter you, this is a real treat to have.
