you certainly could make a sticky now angel in the bright white sticky foam that caps this brew, a full solid finger in height and it just looks absolutely pillowy, lightly burnt orange hue with lots of carbonation populating the glass, the lacing is flawless on this, a nice example of what the style should look like

a strong mix of mango and pine, definite kiss of high alpha hops here, the malts are barely detectable.. but this is a DIPA... so I don't think it is too much of a detraction, upon further review you also get a more herbal/grassy element as well.. all hops, all the time

taste etc...
decidedly less hop forward than I would have imagined from the nose, very subdued as the malts are forward here, the bitterness is pretty mild, you get some of the tropical fruit tone and some muted medicinal tasting hops in the back of the mouth, it has nice linger but
not all that much hop bite, the alcohol is well hidden but detectable (no warming though which was sort of strange to me), the carbonation is perky and keeps this easy to drink in terms of overall feel

surely balanced but at the loss of a real hop kick. it is damn close if it just had that something extra it would be world's better, right now this is just a little above average

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass.

Pours a slightly cloudy amber with a finger of creamy off white head. The smell is sweet with some hops and a slight spice note. The taste is sweet off the bat with a nice hop bitterness. Mild citrus peel bitterness. There is a spice note that reminds me of rye. The finish is sweet from grain and rather hoppy.

A: hazy, orange colored, unfiltered, cloudy
S: pine, resin, booze, some sweetness.
T: huge hop presence balanced well with a sweet malt background, very dry finish.
M: carbonation danced on my tounge
O: this was a pretty great beer. It's definitely a big beer. Hopefully they brew this again. It slightly reminded me of Ruination.
