Served in a shaker pint glass at The Firkin.

The first of our three-part into to Tighthead during their debutante party at the Firkin. It pours a clear brass-gold topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises sweet flowers, light wheat, very light grass, and very light caramel. It comes together as a calm, pleasant aroma, if not one of the strongest ones around. The taste brings in more of the same, with the flowers and caramel really dancing well together. Once again, the mixture isn't a potent one, but a pleasant one. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. Overall, not the most exciting brew in the world, but it's seriously easy-going, and I could easily see myself downing several in one sitting without ever being upset. Good times.

Fluffy white two-fingered head on a translucent straw blonde colored body. Head has good staying power, especially given the style. Some lacing sticks

Aromas of pale malts, straw, hay, freshly-clipped grass.

Smooth, easy going forefront. Finishes with just the slightest of citrus hop notes and then ends with a skunk-type note that I can't quite put my finger on...I know its not skunk, but a taste I have came across in such beers as Stella Artois and some Dortmunder lagers, such as DAB. Drinks all of it's 4.8%abv.

Soft carbonation, medium-full mouthfeel. This is probably my favorite aspect of Comfortably Blonde.

Overall, a very easy drinker. One that could, and would, please the BMC crowd as a viable alternative. Another solid brew from Tighthead.

Appearance - Clear and light golden.

Smell - Somewhat sweet, though not strong by any means. Subtle hint of hops.

Taste - Well balanced for a mild blonde ale. Much more a summer taste in my mind.

Mouthfeel - Smooth and drinkable, especially with a meal.

Overall - Solid for those with a lighter taste.
