Served in a goblet glass at Tighthead

This is served a pale golden color. Light white foam head. Smells strongly of clove and sweet malts. The flavor of this beer is sweet as you would expect. The added flavor is absent of ba nana and clove, but high the wheat flavor but it's still good. The mouthfeel is a touch more dry than I would have expected. Overall its solid. Many of my compatriots are pleased with it. It is a must get when available.

Served in a goblet at the TH tap room.

I arrived here earlier than my man taiyed, so I figured I'd just order myself a beer. This one. It pours a mostly clear golden-bronze topped by a finger or so of white foam. The nose comprises sweet honey, light clove, a hint of what seems like cinnamon, Belgian candi sugar, and a decent amount of sweet wheat. Yup, everything my nostrils takes in comes off as sweet here, though that's not necessarily a bad thing. The taste continues the sweet trend, with everything from the nose returning for a repeat performance, along with a small bit of sweet banana way in the background somewhere. The body is something of a light-leaning medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a generally slick feel. Overall, a pretty nice tripel, but one that lacks a bit of the traditional Belgian charm (or, rather, the Belgian yeast's usual spiciness and earthiness).

At first glance this triple appears more as a pale ale or even and German Pilsner. This is not your standard triple, very clear beer with nice thick head, quite the contrast compared to Fin Du Mond for instance. But then you take a sip and you get that richness that only comes from a triple. This is a great beer with nice refreshing finished that cleans the palette nicely. You definitly take a few of these back in a night with no problem.
