On tap at la Fourmilière, Lyon, France. Okay ipa but nothing great here. It's drinkable and you can taste thehops there but mostly made like a malty dipa with the smoothness and balance

Enjoyed from the big bottle in a DFH goblet. This decent AIPA pours a murky, dark copper orange color with a solid head of off white foam that settles to a thin pooling layer, thick ring, and spotty lacing. Nose of light caramel, subtle peppery notes, and leafy grassy hop tones. Flavors follow the nose with mildly sweet caramel to the front and sides that mingles with a spicy hop profile that fades to a subtle peppery spicy hop flavor. Good carbonation makes for a moderately lively mouth feel that finishes moderately dry. A solid offering that is decently balanced but not a beat you over the head "I'm an AIPA relish the overdone hops" brew. Begs for spicy foods and hot humid days.

Cheers

Got this at La Cave of Bottles in Paris, France.

From a bottle into a snifter
IBU: 68

APPEARANCE: A slow foamer upon opening. Very careful pour yields a 2+ finger, loose, foamy, fizzy, off-white with decent retention. Clear burnt orange with slightly lower levels of carbonation. Stream of carbonation up the middle, however. A ring and half-foamy wisp remain with touches of lacing down the glass.

SMELL: Caramel notes with some grassy and floral hops. Touches of melon with pine aromas as well. Decent strength.

TASTE: A little empty, unfortunately. Light bready malts, floral hops and some grassy flavors up front, then some sweet caramel, hop bitterness and mild pine and melon at the swallow. Not very special. Mostly bitter-sweet without much real flavor or character. Bitter for the sake of bitter.

PALATE: Thinner body and too much carbonation. Airy and foamy on the palate, goes down foamy and finishes a bit dry on the palate. Too light and carbonated.

OVERALL: Not all that great. Too foamy and bland in the flavor department. Mostly bitterness for the sake of bitterness, with too much carbonation. Not something worth trying if you have the choice of others. Pass.
