With generous amounts of caramel, black and chocolate grain, this malty ale is fermented with bourbon vanilla beans and later black sweet cherries are added. These combine to provide a vanilla cherry aroma with a silky mouthfeel. A low hopping schedule ensures there is little bitterness for this smooth delightful beer.

Served at Frankenmuth's World Expo of Beer 2016.

Very well done. I could complain about the feel or something, but it's a 5% porter and hits just about everything right. The black cherry is incredibly strong up front and throughout, which I liked. The vanilla isn't particularly strong, and really, the base isn't either. Finish is reasonably malty, but the black cherry takes precedent. Stylistically, that's probably a bad thing, but I liked it in this case. Very well done.

Short Review. This one was pretty nice, the black cherry was very noticeable, but it let in just enough porter flavors, but when it came to the vanilla it was lacking and I couldn't really notice it. I still thought it was a pretty nice beer and I enjoyed it, I couldn't drink a lot of it, but I liked it for what it. It also had a good porter mouthfeel.
