Look: Clear orange. One finger of frothy white head with good retention.

Smell: Orange and lemon peel, mild.

Taste: Mild citrus flavor, a bit of malt, immediately subsumed by bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Average, with high carbonation.

Overall: A plain and unassuming pale ale.

Beer #9 in 2020:

Great colour, appropriate head for the style. Lots of hops on the nose.
I was half finished it before I even knew I was drinking it too fast. Flavour galore.

With a rebel yell, I cry “More, More, More!”

Day 8 on the Beer Advent Calendar

Nice one finger head and orange hue. Good mix of aroma, piny citrus. Citrus did not come out in the taste nor the advertised "Big english malt", more of a piny hops.

This is phenomenal

L: 4.25 On the darker side of pale ales but still transparent with a medium to large head. Moderate carbonation.
S: 4 Bright floral notes. Hoppy. Malty.
T: 4 Follows the nose.
F: 4 Medium bodied with enough carbonation to break things up
O: 4.25 The flagship of Bronx Brewery should get more hype. I'd compare it to SN PA, perhaps superior.

This was almost as bad as their No Resolution IPA.

I love this style of beer, but this is a poor execution, in my opinion. Like bad Sierra Nevada. I got a few 24 can variety packs at Costco for a party I was hosted and all of them are off. Maybe they're dumping bad batches on Costco? I don't know, but all of these Bronx beers I bought from them suck.

Can, no visible date. CBF tulip.

A:pours a dark orange copper with 1/2 finger of white head. Not much in the way of lacing.

S: some mild sweetness, a little vague cascade hoppiness.

T: arrives dry, malty, hoppy. Mid palate is all cascade - floral with touches of citrus and pine. End is malt then cascade hops lingering.

M: lighter end of midweight, pretty clean finish. Maybe the high point of this beer.

O: my first experience with the Bronx was climbing out of a subway tunnel and my first sight seeing razor wire. Gentrification is coming to the Bronx; they have a craft beer. Maybe it’s stale, or maybe it’s just meant to taste this way; but I’ll pass. I love pales, love cascade; 90s style; but this is not quite there for me.

On tap at 5 Napkin Burger in a shaker pint.

Beautiful copper-brown color, good head retention and substantial mouth feel. Smell is pine and spice. Well balanced: malt in the beginning and ending with the piney-spicy hoppiness, bitter without being fruity.

Bronx APA is one of my go-to beers when I see it on tap; I don't know why it doesn't receive higher ratings.
