On draft at Scotty's in Bloomington.
Pours dark brown with a pretty good white creamy head.
A little bit of bready malt, perhaps a little nut aroma. Nothing really stands out much.
Some bready malt again on the flavor. A little hopper than a normal brown provides a nice spicy dry finish.
Light on mouthfeel. Not horrible, but at times it was watery.
Decent beer although I'd still take Railsplitter any day. Worth a shot for trying something new.

A - Clear, dark brown, with a near white head that fades to a thin line. Extensive lacing.
S - Pretty quiet. A bit of malt and caramel. Something slightly floral, like jasmine.
T - Caramel bread notes are present, but are fairly muted. A slightly bitter, acidic note in the close.
M - Fairly clean, but slight drying on the close.
O - This is a decent, if fairly pedestrian take on the American Brown. Not flawed, but lacking the kind of touches and finesse that come through with top tier brown ales.
