one stop shopping for all your barbecue needs.

not an overwhelming selection but very respectable. you have offerings from your usual suspects: locals like BBC, blue hills, harpoon and SA, plus major players like stone, DFH, victory, allagash, sierra nevada, and lost abbey, among others. also a few belgian / german breweries available, namely chimay, duvel, and weihenstephaner. granted, we're not talking numerous selections from each brewer here, more like 2-3. last time i was in picked up mephistopheles stout and samael's from avery and mongo from port brewing / pizza port. if you're in picking up some BBQ fare, you'll more than likely find a couple brews to suffice.

as for food, the meat is delicious but pricey. the meat house and maple bourbon marinaded steak tips were a crowd pleaser at my last summer BBQ. would recommend when the head count is on the low side. employees seem to be friendly and helpful.

My wife and I shop here once a year to pick up some nice food for the holidays. We just popped into today to pick up some filet mignons for New Years. This store is divided into three parts: butcher/grocery/beer & wine. The meat counter is awesome. Every cut of meat you could want. Prices are a bit high, but it's quality stuff. The middle section is where you can find gourmet foods and cheeses. The right side is where all the wine and beer is located. Coolers of six packs and bombers are what you'll find here. No BMC crap either. A big selection of local breweries, plus other American and imports too. I picked up a 4 pack of Hinterland Winterland from Wisconsin for $11.99. Customer service is always top notch here. They act like they are your personal attendant, which I like a lot. Very helpful and friendly. Trader Joe's next door may have lower prices, but The Meat House is where we like to splurge once in a while.
