Pours a mostly clear red with two finder thick white head, sheet of delicate lace. Smell: not much here... grainy, burnt-ish caramel, earthy notes. Taste: earthy and slightly citric, grainy with a slightly sourish/tangy flavor, caramel. Chalky feel. No thanks. (278 characters)

Wow, first be added on beer advocate from this brewery. Shame on you St Augustine. This is a fantastci brewery. Shame on me for not traveling down here earlier to try. Not just a normal red ale here. It's big malt body balanced out the citrus forward hops. Love the rich dark red body. Nice, beer and looking forward to trying more of them. (340 characters)

A: single finger head with nice lacing on a hazy crimson with golden hues body.

S: sweet caramel malts, burnt toast and mild smokey note.

T: slight bittering hops cover up the sweetness but the caramel can still be noted. This one also has a strong smokey flavor almost porter like.

M: medium body and moderate carbonation.

Overall: With so many red ales out there, to have a good one you must make it a little unique which this one did. (441 characters)
