This classic American IPA showcases an aromatic, bold hop flavor. Horizon hops and oats provide a sleek, velvety body and balanced bitterness while two pounds per barrel of Cascade, Centennial, Chinook, and Simcoe hops give this IPA waves of pine flavors. "That's one delicious beer, eh?" "Oh yeah. You betcha!"

Just a fantastic beer. Have had this multiple times and this is a beer that should blow up among the micro scene. It is a great beer to introduce people to IPA's AND it is a great IPA to kick back and relax to. It has a great balance of taste and content. Has a similar amount of hops to a standard IPA but what makes it great is the balance that is created for a smooth beer. Would recommend to anyone who loves IPA's.

12oz can at share. Musty grainy aroma and taste, light hop presence. Dry, chalky consistency. Bready malts, hops come in too late for some lingering bitterness.

at brewery in Fargo.. The wood chipper is tasty enough but not what i would call a great beer. Perhaps it was a bit too piney for me ..but anyway i did take home a 12 pack!
btw -It was better on tap.

6/22/19...pours reddish amber with light foam layered lid. Minor malty nose. Chewy malted bitter. Toffee too. Bitter surrounds. Slight cola and vanilla too. Very nice.

Pours a nearly translucent muddy-orange that develops just a little light obscuring fog. Head is a finger of khaki foam. Aroma is malty with hints of hops. It hits notes of biscuity, bready, biscuity, earthy malts with herbal, floral, resiny, piney hops shoved through the crevices. Flavor profile is herbal, floral, resiny, piney, lightly dank hops, forming a sticky, lingering taste. Biscuity, earthy, bready malts add a good deal of substance, and are kept at a volume just slightly below the hops. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a lightly fuzzy texture. Overall, a very malt forward IPA with sticky hop notes.

Pours a clear red with a white, quickly dissipating head. Smells of pine, slight see maltiness. The taste follows--fairly bitter, piney, and slightly earthy. Medium bodied and a very dry finish. A fairly average, easy-to-drink IPA.

12oz undated can poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass at fridge temp 6.5% ABV 70 IBU. The beer pours bright light honey amber in color with off white head. The aroma is caramel, faded pine and cardboard. The taste is semisweet caramel with a tea-like light piney hop presence. Bitterness is noticeable on the finish, but not out of control. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, adequately carbonated and dry in the finish. Overall, good. This could be a really good beer fresh, or maybe not, but it's ok now. Kind of old school but enjoyable.

B student IPA. Clear and smooth for fairly high abv, but in my opinion, no cigar. Low carbonation and lacks the IPA after-bite.

Poured from a 12 oz can into a pint glass
L: Clear golden amber pour with thick foamy white head. Great retention and lacing.
S: Pine and light citrusy hops.
T/F: Follows the nose. Nice caramel malt bill... bitter pine forward hops with mild citrus and slightly floral. Earthy... mostly balanced. Medium to light in body.
O: A solid west coast style IPA. Good flavor/drinkability. Not elite but a fun beer to check out. Love the movie reference in the name.

Aroma is of pine, with some floral notes. Pours a clear amber with a white head. This is definitely on the hop forward side, with just a touch of sweet malt notes coming through with a kiss of caramel before pine, pith, and bitterness come through. The bitterness lingers for a while, with some earth noticeable in the finish. A bit light in body, but overall a solid IPA.

Poured from 12-ounce can into a plastic cup out of necessity. No date on the can. Bright copper color, with a thick, long-lasting snow-white head that left lots of sticky lacing. Aroma is rather malt forward, with citrus (grapefruit, orange) and pine undertones. Very well balanced on the palate, with the citrus and pine coming through along with some resiny grapefruit zest. Medium mouthfeel, with a dry, bitter, and slightly astringent finish. Overall, a pretty good and food-friendly IPA.

It pours amber with a nice one and a half finger head. Nice lacing. The aroma is floral and piney with some sweet caramel from the malts/ Intense bitterness especially toward the end.
