Due South Category 3 IPA has a thick, foamy, off-white head, an opaque, brilliant orange appearance, with lots of visible beige chunks roiling about, and heavy lacing left behind. The aroma is your typical sweet, white bread and citrus hop resins, but with an odd, yet pleasant, waxy smell present, too. Taste is of sweet, white bread, the full 65 IBU, in the grapefruit manner, and yeast. Maybe even mango, here? Mouthfeel is medium to heavy, and Due South Category 3 IPA finishes puckering, semi-dry, and quite drinkable.

12 oz can was poured into a pint glass.

Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a slightly hazy pale orange color with good vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.

Smell: Slight citrus, herbal, and grassy hops with toasted, bready, and caramel malts in the rear.

Taste: Same as above with some bitterness in the rear.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, crisp, refreshing, a little chewy, light to medium bodied, slight bitterness, and medium carbonation.

Overall: A decent IPA. Simple and enjoyable.
