From tap to taster glass at Due South tasting room on 6/2/12
*From notes

A: Clean pale 14k sunshine. A one finger white head tops the beer and falls fairly fast. Decent lacing and small collar follow.

S: Smell is vanilla. Lots and lots of real vanilla bean. I get the honey to a point, yet it almost melds with the vanilla and comes across as simply a generally sweet nose.

T: Taste is kinda like a Cream Ale. Plenty of vanilla and golden malt. I'm not getting much
of the honey. Some lemongrass on finish.

M: Feel is light and refreshing. Not gonna wow ya, but it's pleasant enough.

O: Certainly not the crown in Due South's crown, but decent none the less. Unremarkable to be sure, but I still feel this is above average entry into the flavored beer stratosphere. Glad to have ticked this, yet not one I see myself seeking out in the future.

Draft, served in a 22 oz. weizen glass.
Clear, pale golden yellow with a bright white fluffy head. Thick sheets of lace that shrink to this spider webs.
Smell has lots of vanilla, and some honey sweetness.
Taste is of wheat, then the vanilla kicks in Kind of one dimensional, but not as overly sweet, as I was expecting from the smell.
Mouth feel is light and refreshing. Lots of carbonation.
Happy to have found a local tap to try.
