Fun bar and restaurant. Great food at decent prices. Their keg nachos are actually delivered on the top of an old keg with a huge portion. Great selection of beers. Both stories have a bar and plenty of seating. Fast and friendly service. Bayou cajun burger is a must try.

Got here a little late on a Friday in time for the reverse happy hour. All their beer at $3 a pint which was a pretty good deal. Had a nice Pale Ale and some pub fare. I could see this place being pretty busy earlier in the evening. No sales tax in this state either, so everything sorta seems like a discount if you are from out of town like I was.

The Tamarack is my favorite place to drink beer. The food is phenomenal for the price and you get huge servings, which is nice when you want to share. Pints here are also 4 dollars for their brews. There are also guest beers from time to time which can cost up to 7 dollars for a pint/snifter. Lambic is also 7$. The atmosphere is rustic but classy. Only downfall is that it can get so loud because of all the patrons.

Massive two level place with outdoor seating right by the river walk. At least a dozen beers to choose from with all malt used coming from Montana. Had th bourbon barrel red which was outstanding and the IPA which was okay. Not very hoppy, but descent. Very nice menu covering a wide range of tastes. Huge portions. Service was good although our waitress talked a bit fast and seemed in a bit of a rush to keep up. Overall, a great place.

Visited Tamarack once during a recent expedition to Missoula. The place is huge with two levels and ample seating on each. We sat on the upper level at the bar. Very cool place with a nice open and friendly atmosphere. Service was good. As far as selection, there was about 12-15 taps from the brewery with a great variety of styles, ranging from light to dark and low ABV to pretty high (10%). Pretty much something for everyone. I had their Cream Stout (very good), their regular Stout (meh) and their X-Mas Ale (decent to good). Probably the highlight of the visit was the food, though. We got the pork nachos, which were incredible and incredibly huge. Definitely some of the best nachos I've had in a while. If that is representative of the rest of the menu, it must be awesome. Overall, really really liked Tamarack and will definitely try to go back at some point.

Visited a couple of times on a recent trip to Missoula.

This place is absolutely huge with two stories, a bar and a patio. The beer selection was quite good with arounnd 10-12 different styles to choose from, including a few seasonal offerings. I tried 4 or 5 different beers and they ranged from average to very good. Their stout is excellent, and is the beer I would most recommend.

The food was definitely above average and the service was very good. Definitely a must-see place if visiting Missoula.

Nice, big airy room, with a small bar and tables at the front, walk further back into the place and it opens up into a larger dining area, with a patio overlooking the river.

Went here for lunch, so it was very quiet. Beer selection was good; majority rightly being Tamarack’s own, but there were also guest taps from other Montana brewers, which was nice to see. Large chalkboard with the list of beers available was just to the side of the bar. Beers were fresh, and served not too cold!!!

Food was excellent; I went for the Andouille sausage & pulled pork sandwich, along with a pint of the Bitter Root Last Cast Black IPA and a pint of the Tamarack Switchback Stout just to further help wash it all down. Staff were friendly, chatty and helpful.

I wish I had gone back later that night to see how the atmosphere is during the evening.
